I honestly just don't like Elle US covers across the board, I don't know what it is, but when people like them I never get what is "good" about them. With that said, I hardly think this is the worst Elle cover of the year.

Shaping into a good issue, Katy looks awesome, love the Prada shot and love the vibe and styling of Youth in Revolt, great edit.

The photo with B.V. dress is simply amazing. I couldn't care less about Katy Perry, but I really like this.

Yeah, I must admit the editorial is pretty good. The difference the dark background and gloves make with that BV dress in the editorial pic versus the tacky cover! Except for the first shot the editorial is pretty flawless. The extreme styling works and her face photographs so nicely although her features aren't very strong. Looks really good.

Katrin Thormann's editorial is great, too!
