US Harper’s Bazaar August 2021 : Gigi Hadid by Collier Schorr

I really like the overall vibe of the cover - the yellow masthead pops out nicely. Image-wise it's not that special, but to me it seems like they surely picked the best one for the cover because the rest of the editorial is so mundane and so boring. From the styling to the photography to her expressions... girl, get it together.
I do applaud Nasr for giving covers to models, though. Therefore I can appreciate the effort.

And we were complaining about Megan Thee Stallion cover , this is even worst and Gigi Hadid is a model... hard to believe this is the girl who done some stunning stories behind the lens of Meisel Weber Testino & Co
Samira should questionned Collier Schorr's skills for her magazine because for a second time its a fail for me

How can anyone think this is a good picture? How on Earth did this get published?

Okay, but did you see the slick hair ones?? I'm sorry, but those are ten thousand times worse! I just saw them and laughed.

Another absolute miss of a Harper's Bazaar cover under Samira Nasr. These dull, dark and downright depressing covers just keep piling up, and cannot fathom out as to why Nasr insists on going down this path. She's so far away from Glenda Bailey's aesthetic now - we get it!

These just might be the worst photographs I've seen of Gigi Hadid - ever (and I hold Collier Schorr and the makeup artist 100% responsible).

Having a baby can also change the way you look facially and it has for Gigi in a very noticeable way in that many angles are no longer her friend. Vogue made it much less noticeable but this was poor work from Collier

Was it Karl Lagerfeld who said something like "you don't choose modelling, modelling chooses you"?

Gigi needs to get a new 'job' - like handbag designer - where she could still trade on any public interest in her, she could still make magazine appearances, but everyone could stop pretending it's due to any pure merit as a model.

Love how Samira is getting scammed by these French stylists. First Camille, now Ludivine. They do great work for their native magazines even not so important ones like VF France, but this is what we see for the flagship edition for HB?
Who are the new generation of American stylists?

It's the blandness of it all. Bland colours, bland proportions, bland makeup.

Good on her for trying a 'model cover' though, I suppose.

To me, French Vanity Fair makes most of their cover subjects look like a dishevelled mess, but somehow it suits that publication - styling like that doesn't suit US Bazaar at all.

LOL Why is everybody so bothered??? This slop neatly encapsulates everything about this dumbest and laziest of all fashion eras: Gigi’s bloated morning pillow face and the flat-lighting of Colllier’s testshot style is the accessible/inclusive/relatable etc etc gimmick of this era.

Come on, this is an especially bad execution of a generic idea/style. Poor Gigi looks like she passed away several days before this was shot. It’s not just boring and uninspired, it’s *awful*

Where is the joy and fun and glamour? If ever there was a time for something vibrant and full of cheer it’s now. I don’t get this insistence on making everything so dull and plain. This aesthetic is long overdue getting the boot, it’s irrelevant and it’s wildly depressing.

It's so, so, so bad.
Like Phuel stated, it perfectly encapsulates the bland sh*&yness of the fashion and magazine industry today.

Wow that is one bad editorial. I already expected a bad outcome when I saw Colie name on the title, but mannnn, this is 10.000 times worse than I imagined
