US Harper's Bazaar October 2009 : Janet Jackson by Tom Munro

i read the interview it's pretty cool. i dig black and white photos but these are...ok. and i'm a huge janet fan so thats saying a lot coming from me lol

great covers. I love them all. It is better than the previous month.

I disagree about the smile being inapropriate. To me it says "Life has got to be celebrated,it's so short, and Michael would've wanted everyone to keep on smiling"

i fail to see a celebration of life here, or any move on/keep smiling feeling, i only see money-making. i guess i'm just too cynical.

Indeed! Well said.

Is that the best they could do? Bazaar seriously dissappoints me sometimes. And Munro's photograpghy is so dull, no wonder Vogue stopped using him ages ago.

Tim Burton in a shoot by Tim Walker... again? He was in one for UK Vogue last December, shot by Tim also. Although that one was Roald Dahl themed at least.

Thanks for the review.

Ooh Tim left Conde for Hearst then?..he hasn't done a US Vogue shoot in like over 3 years now. Looks like Jacob K's good influence, maybe we'll see Roversi soon back again in Bazaar :woot:

Too bad there are not many eds, but it sounds good.

There're not any models I'm interested in.

Thanks for the review :flower:

It seems more likely that he only 'left' US Vogue and will continue to keep working for Vogue Italia and Vogue UK.

Thanks for the review :flower:

My snaps

The Tim Burton shoot does remind me of the UK Vogue shoot, well, from those previews anyway. In a corn field..

Thanks for the previews!

Thanks a lot for the previews, t-rex. All in all, this seems to be rather a dull issue, I'm really not excited about it at all.
