look at the opening 2 pages of the vanity fair piece. pg 226-227. starting with natalia on the left, ending with inguna on the right.
that picture depicts the PECKING ORDER of the girls as described in the article.
if you have eyes you can see that natalia is #1 and eugenia is #4. hana #5. can you see with your eyes?
if kk was as successful as all you claim, she would be #1.
she's not,. its natalia. case closed.
kk never had ANY campaign as lucrative as nati's CK or loreal, nor as valentina's ralph.

No, really though. I disagree with that last line so much. Plenty of magazines and television shows have called Karolina a supermodel. And she is. Plus, when she was at her peak, she was bigger than Nat ever was combined. Many industry people have said she is one of the greatest models, and plenty have said that Nat's career moves have been bad. Honestly, she really has been limited in campaigns and runway shows. It gets boring her just being the face of Calvin Klein.

And Karolina has done far more campaigns and runway shows. I think that is pretty obvious...

Why don't you address the facts about Nat receiving no attention on red carpets or from television shows?

It sure has taken you along time to "quote" the article. And while Eugenia may be in front of Hana in the picture, she is far behind Hana in the article.

And remember, any time someone declares someone the model of the moment, that is there opinion.

But then you have cold hard facts to prove that Karolina has done and made more. Plus, she is actually famous.

I have nothing against Natalia, but Karolina is more famous and will leave a longer, fuller legacy behind her. Nat never made the hype that Karolina did. Karolina is a star.

nativ was at the oscars cos shes a superstar & a favourite of vanity fair [2 features in the last 4 months]. vanity fair hosts one of the top parties yearly at the oscars.
gisele had to go home early to be on tv the next morning. leo was angry about losing & in a foul mood.

nati's first film is CQ, a well regarded indie. angela lindvall is also in it, another well regarded CK model.

gissy's first & possibly last film is taxi, voted by many as 1 of the ten worst films of 2004.

Never does it actually refer to her as "number three". It simply refers to Nat as the "girl of the moment" and that is subjective. The order of the pictures could be completely random, or maybe it could have some meaning. But Carmen is listed first. And she and Karolina get far more attention in the article than Nat does.

You do forget how many covers of Vogue Karolina did don't you? Or how she was one of the youngest featured on the covers? Or how she is one of the highest paid models? Or how she is actually recognized? Or the sheer number of campaigns and runways? Just please address this part for once.

I love Nat, but I'm just saying Karolina is more famous and has had more campaigns and editorials.

If someone could complile a list of campaigns, runway work, editorials, and talkshows/runways, then we could use this debate in a proper format with actual evidence. Not just the same repeated "well US VOGUE, VANITY FAIR, And STAR magazines refered to Nat as the biggest and bestest model there ever was and will be"....

It's absolutely AMAZING how Lady_Grey can turn every thread into a fight with her narrow-minded opinions and her distorted views that everything she reads in a magazine is the complete, unblemished truth.

the fact that vanity fair put natalia "first" as you put it is a matter of their opinion, as is everything else in magazines.

here are some FACTS:

kk was one of the youngest models EVER on the cover of US VOGUE. Natalia's never even had a solo cover. (and isn't that "the bible?")

kk was named Vogue/VH1 MODEL OF THE YEAR. Natalia was not (but then again, they don't have them anymore)

kk has done runway shows for EVERY MAJOR DESIGNER. Natalia did, until her contract with Calvin, so I'm pretty sure she's behind KK in that regard.

kk commands a 6 figure fee and has been in ad campaigns for YSL, Chanel, Vuitton, and Valentino, plus Victoria's Secret. Natalia has not.

and maybe the reason kk is winding down her career is that she's been doing all these things since she was 15!

Now i'm not bashing Natalia, she's a fine model, but it's all about her story: discovered selling fruit or something, handsome husband and baby...that's why they did a story on her in the Jan issue (and Vogue did as well). it's a feel good "root for the underdog."
