US Vogue January 2016 : Alicia Vikander by David Sims

Now this should actually have been the cover for December! I love the festive mood. This is without a doubt David Sims' best cover for US Vogue. She looks alive, great tan and vibrant colours. If I must nitpick then the awful hair could be changed.

Hideous hair cut. However - I like it. It's fresh, I like Alicia, and the styling and color scheme is on point for January.

I like the cover However I thought she were a black woman since I don't know her

Love her and love the cover! She's a great actress, so deserving of this and a refreshing new face for US Vogue!!

I love the cover! It's a big step up from Jan 15'.

Starting the year out right (a new face). Reminds of Rihanna's March 2014 issue (cover & editorial).

First time I've been excited go buy a January issue since Meryl Streep's cover in 2012.

Hate to sound like a broken record, but it still boggles my mind that Kerry, Viola, or Zoe Saldana have yet to be given covers but Lena Dunham, Amanda Seyfried, Carey Mulligan, and now Alicia have.

But Alicia and Carey deserved their covers. By detracting from them, you're making it sound like those women are better than the latter group. Alicia's got a budding film career and she's a fashion favourite. It's nice to see someone fresh and relevant book US Vogue.

First thing that came to my mind... Why is she over bronzed? I mean why? And that hair!?

But to be honest, I love this. It has this quirky side to it that makes you love it at first glance. It lightens your mood immediately. I really like it! Great way to start!

Looks like a Meisel studio model shot, very 2003...

omg her again... I just can't, she's everywhere.

Omg Alicia!
Love it, so happy she got the cover.

Her bangs remind me what mine looked like when I was a kid, after a visit at my grandma's :yuk:

We always hear how actresses sell more but how is she more famous than a model? Does her name really register to a large audience?! On top of that they made her look like Liya Kebede.

I'm not a fan of the cover or editorial but I like her so I'm happy she got the cover.

It looks good. The only thing that really like about US VOGUE is that it seems to be the only publication that put real fashion on it covers.
At Vogue Paris, it's only jeans & t-shirts, the same for Vogue UK and Vogue Italia is about gimmicky-arty effects.

That hair is distracting.

Best i have seen her look in print, i often feel she lacks presence in photos. And a nice unpredictable start for 2016.
