US Vogue March 2008 : Drew Barrymore by Steven Meisel

the last september cover with sienna miller was 840 pages, so it's not that much:p

when will the issue hit newsstands?

Oh I have fashion mags from the 70s which have more pages than 900.

What I meant was 660+6 is a special number, and they're so close

Ohhh I am perfect with MY love Natalia being everywhere!!! I love her to death!!!

That said, I also love Drew, but really do not care who is on the cover if it not a model...

i think this is anna's birthday gift for drew which, i think, is a rather pretty cover. very american vogue. im my opinion, the more people clamor for models on the cover, the more anna would put celebs instead. you think she's pleasing someone or pissing us off?

It seems that way!

I really wish people here would stop complaining about Anna not having models on the cover. I don't think US Vogue will change anytime soon, they have been doing the celebrity covers for many years. It gets annoying and repetitive - not just the covers, but also hearing people complain about something that is not going to change soon.

I don't really like the cover. But then again I've never thought of Drew as photogenic. Not excited about the contents either.

I swear its the same 15 people used over and over again for the cover of US Vogue! If they are going to feature A-List celebrities at least add musicians into the mix!

Agreed. Celebrities sell ... as much as it pains me to say. Everybody (mostly) is fixated on the daily activities of these prominent public figures.

I think the cover looks wonderful.

Drew looks like she just came out of John Singer Sargent's painting ^_^

well we know there is a 98% chance caroline trentini will have a ed:rolleyes:

If it's anything like September's issue, she will be in more than one

Anyway, even though I'll probably be disappointed, I'm still anxious to find out about the contents. I, for one, do hope Natalia is in this issue :D :ninja:

when i said "she's everywhere" i was referring to Drew :flower:

^ok and whereelse...???
because in France.... we don't see her....
it's not because she's everywhere in US that she's everywhere else....
you're not the center of the world....
and it's Promotion and Business, I guess.... it means her prod' and agents are doing good work, non?

the cover's nice, I thought it was someone else when first saw it. but can they put someone surprising on the cover?

i noticed it's only in the US that Vogue covers are most often graced by celebs... Vogues in other countries like Italy, France, Germany, Spain even China & Japan, especially these two, have models on it. Models on the cover, then, are not dead. Only in America, i think heehee !!! But Drew is really pretty on it. And her arms, not too flabby. Or photoshopped?

That's true. It's also interesting to look out how American Playboy compares to French Playboy ('arty', good photography, classy) and even Japanese Playboy, which has anime in it!

I think people here at TFS need to stop complaining about American magazines and their cover stars. You are a member of TFS where you can easily view covers and scans nicely provided by other people from foreign magazines, so...Don't complain. You're able to look at foreign Vogues thanks to people here.
