Hi eveyrone!

This is my first post, so please excuse my ramblings...

My name is Matthew and I normally post in the Vogue U.K forums, but, I came across this site from a friend.

I live in the U.K and nearly fell of my chair when I read that SJP is to be on the cover of the U.S Vogue 09 issue.

I hope it's like the Drew Barrymore cover, that was simply breathtaking - I know, how dramatic am I? lol

I just wanted to ask really, if anyone has an image for the cover, how many pages it might have? - here's hoping it tops last years issue! - and also, when does it come out in America? ... I only ask this, as my friend, whom lives on the West Coast, said she saw it, and by rights, the Madonna issue came out around the 12-19 of this month; as you might be able to tell, I am quite desperate to get my hands on the SJP cover, and shall run to Boarders when I know it hits the U.K like a demented Vogue freak that I am, lol lol

i haven't seen the cover, but i guess there was a preview in friday's ny post...here's a description from fashist:

I look forward to seeing it, although, I had hoped it was like the Nicole Kidman, circa 2003 cover, but it doesn't seem so, but never mind, still should be a good issue!!

I so wish I could subscribe to British Vogue but is Soooo expensive ..Can't wait to get US vogue with SJP on the cover..I love her and Miss SATC

Hi Mizblue,

tell me about it! I was watching re-runs of the last series, and I was like noooooooo, bring it back! Those girls worked it like no other's.

Funnily enough, I'm a subscriber to Vogue here in the U.K, but wish I could sub to the U.S edition - i lurve the American issues the most, it's nice over here as the Editor put models on our covers, (more than that though, the models seem to rotate and crop up every few issues, but I still like the Kate Moss, Nick Knight collaborations) but sometimes, it would be nice to see 'celebs' - that's where yours is best, Anna. W goes for the top of the picks, I mean, look back at the covers this past year - amazing!

And belive me, once I here that the SJP/ Fall issue has landed in Boaders, I shall run like my life depends on it - ha.

Hi Xone......am i? Like, YES!!!! I love the show, over here, we get re-runs every night, and last nights was when Carrie was in Paris, before Big/John arrived, and she wore that HUGE couture gown, oyster grey one, remember? that, for me, was Carrie as a whole.
I was glad Sam stayed with Smith, bless her.

That was very nice of you.

It sounds a good issue, I assme SJP is waxing lyrical about O de la Renta, as he designed her dress for the 'Lovely' press ad.

Shame it's not as big as last years, but still bigger than the Nicole Kidman 03 issue, so yay!

Hopefully the cover will come through soon.

so last month i sent in for my subscription to vogue mag...today i received the august issue, which i really had NO interest in lol. i'm just hoping the late arrival of my august issue doesnt affect when my september issue comes in the mail...anyone else ever had that problem?

I just saw this on the newsstand as i walked to work. I'm kind of tired of SJP. Vogue desperately needs to put a model on the cover...and I don't mean Gisele. At least for the September issue. Good grief.

i like the cover, but the editorial is rather reminiscent of her vogue story 2 years ago - like "i have seen that already", nothing new......

exactly...reminds me of every annie liebovitz (sp?) story in vogue...

if sjp is such a "fashion icon," why couldn't they have come up with anything better?

i loved the cover, but agree with everyone about the editorial. maybe the article is good, but i'd love some good photos to come with it. i do think sjp has an eye for fashion and i love the fact that she is on the cover the third time around, but i also believe that she has proven to be way too creative to accept to pose in such jaded photographs. annie leibovitz is overrated.
