V Magazine #94 Spring 2015 : Selena Gomez by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin

Selena looks so empty here... Between her hair, the styling, and her apparent discomfort, it's hard to find much to enjoy from this. (Other than the glowing V itself.)
As much as I love I&V, I really wish they'd move away from their studio stuff a bit. I want to see more from them that is reminiscent of their 90's work. Their Fall 98/99 works for Yohji, for example. Total genius that won't show through if they keep doing portraits like this and the ones for V93.

Thanks for posting Melancholybaby! :flower: I'm a big Faena fan, but it feels like I'm seeing this editorial in every magazine. This, along with the Klein+Joan mess is just off-putting. The rest of the editorials are very good though, all incidentally studio shoots.

^I don´t think Lexi can pull this type of whimsy editorials...

Oh God, Lexi looks awful. So forced. I'd actually prefer Cara for stories like these.

I love Lexi but she's more of a serious editorial to me. It could've been perfect with the mod styling if it weren't a crazy editorial. Those shots where she's just staring are fantastic, the smiling ones look amateur
