I have recently started to really enjoy Valentino menswear. I think it is much stronger than what the two designers offer for women. I adore that last coat in post N°4. Beautiful !

Their collections really have an identity that I truly love, its very cohesive but fresh each season, the show flowed fantastically and I particularly loved the opening segment of how the colour-blocking progressed, the opening 4 looks were particular favourites of mine and I also admired the level of workmanship in the appliqué in looks 37-38. Ultimately what I need from this collection next season are the navy CamuButterfly trousers!

I agree, there's a lot here that I'd want.
I think menswear suits this pair - they don't have to change anything drastically (like, say, god forbid, have someone make a new dress pattern) they can just take a block, change some of the details and fabrics and it becomes enjoyable, desirable menswear.
That being the basis of most menswear.

I'm not always a 100% sold when it comes to their womenswear but I honestly think that they're becoming some of the best menswear designers at the moment. All their latest shows have been insanely desirable. Especially their fall collections. They really have an eye for outerwear. It's always perfectly tailored, a classical and restrained elegance but with a twist.

The Rothschild's hotel particulier is such a perfect location and I always love the way they design it for the men's shows. Sober but yet subtely adventurous. I can't really figure out who their woman is but their Valentino man is for sure a young man, from a good family, very proper and distinguished. Yet he likes to have fun and try new things but with the clothes and the codes that he knows well and loves.
Therefore even though it's mostly basics and repetitive pieces ( here the focus on the parka for example or the owl print they used again) and every season almost the same silhouette; I just love the way they play with patterns, prints and colors. Besides The styling is perfect. It really emphasizes the narrative and the envy when you watch the show.

Special mention for the three suits with the little flower embroideries which are aboslutely gorgeous.

I’ve always enjoyed their menswear over their womenswear. This collection actually reflects their moodboard from the womenswear collection but the inspirations and ideas are translated better with more dynamics of clothing that what they are doing with both RTW and couture at womenswear. I really want all the jeans numbers.

Superb collection. I can't find one fault, not that I was looking. This is what I'd want my man to look like.

I've never really paid attention to menswear collection, but I like Valentino so much that I wanted to take a look. And I am far from disappointed  It's very good, you recognize their vibe with the geometrical patterns and the use of color. Like it

The only thing I don't like from this collection is the baggy suitpants : http://imgbox.com/XSNj7DXF
Other than that Valentino menswear never does wrong in my opinion.
