Valentino Men's F/W 2020.21 Paris

PP is on Auto-Pilot mode...From Couture to RTW...Everything is an alteration of the previous collection.
This is very retail friendly, very boutique ready, very now. It’s all safe and sellable.
So yes, it’s not a bad collection but it’s all very lackluster.

And i hope that we won’t see a line-up of big gowns with Opera music for Couture...

Same old. Pretty, but boring.

^The Oscars are around the corner, so Couture will probably pander to the red carpet crowd.

He has no idea what he is doing. There's no general focal point. The prints are slapped on with no intention to make a story. The supposed quirky parts of the outfits don't make it enough to balance the coherence. Get someone to help him with menswear.

Like I said in the campaign forum...his men’s (and increasingly, his women’s) collections are so dweeby.

I am beyond sick of that horrendous 'VLTN' logo, I just can't take the brand seriously with that.

The floral looks were quite nice but it reminded me a bit too much of Prada's recent collection. Then it just went downhill after that.

This is so boring and lazy. I feel like he hasn't done a good menswear collection since forever. I wish he would just focus on one thing and do it very well instead of throwing in trends and trying to achieve so many things to put be on the retail floor.
