I do not think she's at all beautiful so this type of shoot does nothing for me.

Plus if this was an "hommage" to Newton they totally missed the point. There is a world of different between the two images, it's almost insulting. I do not know how can young woman, and she looks it, hinting that she's naked can be empowering, but then i'm not a celebrity, using misfortune to sell their image is quite the thing to do.

Nearly every tribute or nod to Helmut Newton's style manages to completely miss what was going on in the original imagery. Nudity can be an aggressive display of power, but only in the right hands, it seems.

I couldn't agree more... there is no strength in her expression... She doesn't even look vulnerable ... I would have loved to see some attitude... but the shot in itself is beautiful... but nothing beyond...
