Vapor S/S 08

I would love to see how this is interpreted streetwise

I'm so using this for fall if I can find a black transparent dress. Recommendations as to where I should look for one?

Black transparent dress+stretchy maroon dress+black belt over those=lushhhh

I'm in love with the purple 'dress' from Anna Molinari

and I really hope I'll be able to find a dress in that style, a bit less revealing though, for fall!

This is such an exciting trend! The combination of pretty and sexy is fabulous. The look is very romantic. I'm going to start searching already for my pieces!
I think it may be a bit early for things like this to be appearing on the highstreet though, so I may try out making a couple of things myself...

I love this trend and it was done well by many designers this season (but Jil Sander > * :crush: )

I was actually in Zara the other day doing some x-mas shopping and they had a fantastic top. One layer of black silk organza with pleats down the front, cap sleeves, belted waist and nude organza lining. I was so in love with it that I was thinking of someone I could get it for...

I'm sure they'll start getting some more stuff like that in after the holiday collection runs it's course mid-January. They're pretty quick on picking up the trends.

I was shocked it was only $59, it easily could've been off of any spring runway.

...I might get a whole avalanche of tomatoes thrown at me for saying this...but this trend come off as kind of cheap looking to anyone else? It's not a blanket statement for all the looks, because is done well in some cases. Maybe it's because the trend brings me back to the costumes I wore for Halloween as a little tyke - ala Snow White and things of that sort with reams of cheap, scratchy synthetic tulle and the like.

...retreating to my corner now and promising not to make anymore trouble..:ninja:

It has the complete opposite effect on me, hehe! I look at these outfits and they look expensive and luxurious. Not at all cheap!

I love this trend. I'm a big fan of mixing textures, and I desire to try out this trend too, if even just on a rather small scale.

By the way: Does anyone know what designer this is? It has slipped my mind. The leggings are gorgeous!

^It was. No wonder I could not find it in the SS 08 collections, he he. Thank you very much! Karma for you, then. ; )

No I agree. Some pieces are nice but overall not a trend I can see myself loving.
