so, anybody else love vaseline??
i use it on my lips and sometimes my hands and it makes everything soo soft.
its like the best mousterizer for the lips.
i dont really reccomend putting it on your skin, it might clog your pores. i've never tried it though, thats just my mentality, so has anyone done it before? what are the results?
i swear by it for the lips!

i use it all the time, on my skin also when it's dry.

Substituting moisturizer for vaseline is not recommended. I'm not a big fan of vaseline, it feels too greasy and slimey. I know people who wear it under their eyes before they go to bed and swear by the miracle of youth provided by vaseline! Wishful thinking I say.

My bottles of vaseline say nothing about moisturizing. It's only a skin protectant. Some people also say your skin can become dependant on it.

I wouldn't be too afraid of vaseline clogging your pores--it's noncomedogenic. But just find a good moisturizer. Especially for your eyes, you need a special eye cream.

i use it to take mascara off
and sometimes at night after I wash my face

;) I just got a tattoo, and I use vaseline on it but just for the first 10 days!

I literally have a vaseline addiction - I use it as lip balm but have become so dependent that if I dont put to on at least once every twenty minutes, my lips are so sore and dry.
Everyone gives me so much stick because I am always carrying around this big tub of vaseline everywhere I go!

Vaseline is great for everything.
Lip balm, moisturiser, makeup remover etc.

I sometimes put it on my cheekbones to highlight them if I am wearing my hair back.

I like using it on my feet at night. I slather a lot on, and then put athletic socks on to keep it on my skin. It really helps with calluses.

Don't worry, the molecules of Vaseline/petroleum jelly are too big to clog pores. :) It has no moisturizing properties whatsoever, it merely locks in moisture that's already there. Anyhow, I love using it to remove mascara and I like it as lip balm as well.

I do this too. . .and I also put vaseline on my hands right before I wash the dishes (I wear rubber gloves) and the hot water makes my hands very soft. ^_^

I put it on cuts so they won't get infected. I'm pretty sure vaseline doesn't protect against infection but it feels nice.

I used to use a Vaseline lip balm because I did not know what other lip balms were good at the time and everyone seemed to use it, so I guessed it must be worth a try. I was wrong; it did not moisturise my lips at all, only covered them in a shiny layer so that it was more obvious how dry and crinkled up my lips were! Also, if I kept it on for a long time, it left some disgusting slimy white residue at the corners of my lips. :yuk: I no longer get that with my other lip balm.
