Versace F/W 2019.20 : Kaia, Bente, Anok, Maike & Aliet by Steven Meisel

I like it! At least it’s different and it changes the on going boring Versace narrative of them trying to recreate the past.

This reminds me of a VI Meisel did.

But my god, terrible styling. The collection was already bad itself...Now with the terrible styling, i’m Speechless.

This is like a Versace version of a Prada campaign.
...with a bit of Michele's Gucci thrown in just to make it look hip.

I like Kaia's shot only because it finally shows the worn table and backdrop, a Meisel trademark, which is sadly missing from his tenure at British Vogue. Kaia's shot, without the bag, could easily have been a perfect January VI cover.

The rest doesn't work. Jacob K tried way too hard. He should've saved this tosh for Farneti's Vogue. Would be far more relevant at a magazine sinking in desperation. And if we weren't aware of Versace's identity crisis after the news of them jumping in bed with a certain overly tanned bottle blonde American (and I don't mean Trump), this campaign perfectly underscores that.

Am I the only one who did not recognize Kaia at first look?
However I like it, I love the set, I like to see something different from the last three campaigns (even the SS18 Gianni Tribute was a total mess, even with some of the greatest models ever).
can’t really see Bente and Maika as Versace muses but who knows... I’m glad there are no Hadids or Ceretti.
I wished for Luna this time.

I like the set and the vibe of the shoot! And I like how the casting isn’t the same as it’s been for the past couple of seasons. And I’m so glad there aren’t stickers everywhere, those totally ruined past campaigns! But I think if the makeup and hair were different I’d like it even better though

I like the mood, set and composition of Kaia's shot, but that was one ugly and tacky/cheesy looking collection and what is that hair??? Are you kidding me? That can't be real.

This is the first time a see a bad picture of Kaia by Meisel. I thought they were a match made in heaven.

iT loooks totally GREY GARDENS is a Glamorous way. And I love it.
Miesel used this inspiration twice i Vogue Italia editorials.
Love Kaia, but not in this shoot. Her shoot with Miesel in Vogue UK is just magic.
Hoping more pics with Seymour and Shalom will pop up soon

I love this style of nuanced, almost slightly worn but polished or painted photography from Meisel. Sorry, just don't know the way to describe it!

The images, well not so much. Kaia's is OK but the rest of the cast look like extras from Gotham (actually not going to lie that show has upped its fashion game on the last season more so than any fashion publication I see these days, womp!)

Only impressed by Kaia
Other ppl look like their soul got sucked out and projected into the empty space behind them.
They need veteran girls like Anna Lexi etc. to go mental house chic with this collection
Very disappointed with others’ result Very lookbook

When I saw the first image of Kaia it had some potential for me. But seems like all they've changed is grey clean studio to grey dirty loft. And I don't get the styling as well

I absolutely love this campaign. Nothing better then seeing Steven Meisel let it rip.

Anok looks so stiff no matter what she does. And I do think that stickers, etc will show up once we see the campaign in magazines because the photos so far have been w/o the logo.

Not a fan this campaign - even if the cast is different and the campaign itself does not have a grey background much like most of Meisel's work recently, doesn't mean it still doesn't look like a tacky mess. Maybe the bar is so low that we're excited for even this. But so far I've not truly liked a single one of these MeiselxVersace campaigns. In fact I don't remember the last Versace campaign I liked.

Love the mood of the Kaia image, the rest of the womens pics would have been stronger with tighter cropping and framing, styling aside. BUT the mens shots are total throwaway cast-offs, why bother to take them to print at all?

I'm beginning to be see a strong Gotham Vibe the more I look at it. That's a show that's full of weirdos and freaks, so take that as you will. It's not something I would like to associate with this brand.

I originally thought that first pic of Kaia was Kirsty Hume.
