Versace Mens S/S 18 Milan

Hello Balenciaga, my old friend... it wasn't as atrocious as usually Versace menswear is, but it wasn't gorgeous neither. The good pieces were drown in the Balenciaga realness and I don't know why they thought that it would work for Versace. I liked the prints but they were from the archives, the womenswear was quite strong, too... but the styling, cast and being inspired by Balenciaga destroyed everything.

That crown thing.. Dolce & Gabbana?

Some see Balenciaga, some see Dolce&Gabbana, some see Tisci.. But nobody sees Versace

I don't know what to think about that. I don't hate it but i don't love it neither.
It was very Tisci. It was basically a Givenchy show with Versace prints but at the same time it didn't really felt "try hard" because most of the clothes were familiar or are already in the shops. The thing is that Versace has had an enormous influence in the Hip-Hop culture but they have never done such a obvious "Hip-hop" collection. But at the same time, Tisci's take on it is already done.
It's a weird show and i really want to know how much Riccardo was involved in it. I refuse to believe that he is not involved with anything Versace right now because it will be a shame of a collection.

The womenswear was very Gianni's last collection. From the hair to the strong shoulders and pinstripes. I like that little reference.
Weird collection from Versace.
The brand is still successful but something is not right in the creative direction.

Something seems off, not just about the collection, but Donatella..... I don't understand with the name the brand has, the legacy, this was produced.

I was reading about the collection on WWD and one of he suggested articles to read it says "Versace, Tisci deal hits a snag?" So I wonder if he actually had any input (although you're all correct the collection does resemble his menswear).

I'm the exact same.
My feelings towards this collection are confused. One part of me thinks it's really streamline and sellable and another part of me wants to tear my eyes out.

Also the hair is awful...probably the worst hairstyling I have ever seen.
