Viktor & Rolf for H&M

i tried on the jeans as well...the fit was not good...there was nothing special about the jeans in the first place...

i just noticed that there were white cotton heart shirts. did they also come in pink or black? anyone know?

i also think in the runway pictures they added some sort of yellow tulle underneath to make it stiffer. i bet they did this with the trench as well.

I saw the collection... such over-hyped rubbish! And people went crazy over it.:yuk:

I'm actually pretty glad the trench isn't as puffy as it looked on the runway...it would look crappy on someone on the shorter side, IMO ^_^

Yes I was going to post that.. I notice the yellow tulle underneath the coral (?) skirt as well..as for the trench no...I don't think they put anything underneath the trench.. the fabric is rather stiff..

I haven't seen the cotton shirts in any other color besides white.. the powder pink one is different (silk not cotton as well as cut and details..).

I think I read (earlier in this thread ?) that some one tried it on and decided not to get it because it made her look short..

^It does look like there is something under the skirt. They prob. just added it for the show. But you can get a petticoat and wear it under the skirt to puff it out like that. That would look cute!

Btw, I forgot to mention I also got the glasses... :ninja:

I blame it on the fact that I was stressed, they are def. going back... :yuk:

I went to the NYC store on 5th ave at around 10 and there wasn't much left when I got there. But they kept bringing more stuff out little by little. So I managed to get the trench (which I love), the red silk dress, black silk top with hearts, and victorian style blouse.
It was pretty crazy there! Girls were grabbing stuff out of each others hands, and once the salespeople brought new stuff out they basically got hounded by everyone. I had to grab anything I could (only for the cuter stuff though), and hope that it was my size!

I'm kind of short myself, but it looked rather perfect so I couldn't resist  it's true that it swallows up my legs a tiny bit, but that can be fixed and at least the rest of the fit is spot-on.

I think today is one of my favorite days since I joined tfs, simply for the fact that I feel like we have this special tfs delegation with correspondants around the world all reporting on this common event...somehow it feels more special than even when the shows are hapenning, as it's people from all over actually going out into the real world into real stores instead of all of us waiting to experience something online...

so cheesy I know, but I'm serious :P

ok ladies (and gents), i need reassurance. maybe knowing this will make me feel better about not getting up this morning to go...

If I'm an xs/0, is there any way any of the v+r clothing would've been able to fit me? a SA told me a 4 is the smallest they carry and there's no way I would be able to fit a 4.

mundodabolsa, awww....did you go this morning? i think the tfs makes us all better consumers...

mello_yello_jen, i did not see any size 32's/2's. i didnt even see many xs's. i think that sales person was right. the clothes werent cut as huge as stella mccartney, but they were still cut pretty big...

thanks lucy!! phew, that's what i wanted to hear.

Hi everyone! I went with some friends to the store in 59th st. & lex (NY) 2 hrs before the opening and the line was pretty decent...
I was pleasenty suprised by the very good quality of the fabrics and construction of most of the pieces in the collection. The fit is really good, in comparisson to how it looks on the website images.

The trench coats look amazing in my friends (I'll post some pics later) as well as the pea coat with heart buttons... Most of this stuff can be sold at $400 / $500 at any other store and still be a very good deal... I just checked on ebay and some pieces are sold at 3/4 times de original price.

No, like lucy92 said, there is no size 32, it starts with size 34/4.

I got the trench and usually I'm a 38 but I took 40. But I'm over 6 feet tall, and sometimes I have to go up one size otherwise the proportions don't fit (the belt of the trench would have been just too high).

But the jeans seemed to be quite long, the tops where quite loose and, the trench arms are very long, so I think you can really feel better:wink:.
Even though it is sad that they don't make the smaller size but actually do a size 44/14. Even here in Germany size 44 is considered HUGE, and nobody seemed to buy it...

EDIT: what other accessories do they have?? [if any??]

well, i live just 1 block away from H&M on Bloor St, so around 9:30 i thought i'll go check out and the line up is already turn the corner of Scotia Bank.

10 min i got there Jeanne Becker arrived but of course she didnt' join me at line up but went stright into H&M, the door didn't open for public until 10:10 ish and by that time Jeanne already check out the cashier.

i swear, it is ALL GONE in less than 20 min, i mean empty shelf nothing left, by the time i was lining up to paid sales ppl are already putting up the regualr stocks. when i got back to my place it was only 10:45.

i got both men and women's trench coat, 2 black and 1 pink ribbin tshirt, 2 sweaters and a dress. but my mommy was really upset that i didn't get her the grey sweater with a heart at front, what can i say? a women told me she was there since 630 this morning.

i went to my local H&M at 9am this morning and there were not many people queueing up, just about 20ish. once in, there was a bit of chaos only around the Victor and Rolf areas while the rest of the store was totally empty.
i tried on the dresses but although the one with the ribbon print looked good on, it made me look much older and not in a good way '=)
to be honest, nothing looks that great: if it was not Victor and Rolf for HM i would have not bothered waking up earlier to have a look

i really wanted to try on the black wool jacket with the hearts buttons but could not find my size.
have to stay that it was very much different to Stela, every 10 minutes member of staff were popping out of the stock room with more staff.

i did not buy anything at the end, but i might pop in another H&M on the weekend to find the jacket. buy the way, does anyone knows how this fit?? is it on the smaller side?

i think the peacoat with the heart buttons fits true to size. although, you might consider sizing up if you happen to like wearing bulky sweaters all the time...

i remember being annoyed last year that the stella for H&M items did not come in size 32, especially as they ran so big...
