Viktor & Rolf for H&M

I got myself the peacoat this afternoon, because it's a good basic and the quality seems quite OK for H&M!

Lots of people in the store at Hamngatan, but no hysteria... The trenches appeared to be sold out, but there seemed to be plenty of the other stuff.

And I have to say it was odd to see so many people with designer bags at the same time shopping at H&M...

Wow. Thank you for that completely irrelevant post! :ermm:

it's relevant. it's related to Viktor and Rolf for h&m. are you in the right thread?^_^

wow after reading up the comments, i dont feel so bad that I didnt go this morning haha. i'll just go there during lunch and see wassup, i hope i dont get traumatized like last year =X

my mum went...she said it wasn't that great. a lot of hype over items that would have been left on the shelf if they weren't v&r.

I don't know it looks sort of anne taylor to me. I mean I could find slim black pants and black blazers at 20 stores in NYC. Ditto for the black dresses nothing really stood out to me as something I would want because it was "designer" but more affordable.

I completely forgot about this

Well, I'm going to take a look tomorrow. I'm sure there are loads back. I haven't heard a single person mention it. Not even my friend who works there. So changes are that there might be a lot left. ^_^

I went 30 mins after H&M opened today in Munich Germany.
There where quite some people, but the athmosphere was still friendly, people where giving each other advice. But TV was there also, I guess people wanted to look civilised...

I got the beige trench because I had already liked the pics (and I already have a black trench). It is quite heavy since it s made of a sturdy cotton fabric, but when worn it is still nice. And, a big bonus for me: the arms are very long! I am usually a 38 for tops, but I'm very tall, so size 40 was better. I still had the choice between black and beige, but before I left the store only trenches in size 44 where left.

The other H&M that had the womans collection downtown (the one at Stachus) seems to have been much more crazy.

At 10.30 I checked the mens H&M, and it was very calm. About 8 guys looking and buying, but not crazy at all.

But the first items have come up on ebay Germany already, and people seem to be bidding...

Enjoy your finds, everyone!

I just got back from the DC H&M. I arrived right around 10 am (opening) and didn't see anyone outside so I thought "that's good, it won't be crowded." I guess they opened the doors early, because when I got inside it was a little chaotic (for DC, nothing compared to NYC Soho when I was there a few years ago on their opening weekend). People were just grabbing all the small sizes, and there were lots of men taking women's clothes (which I thought was odd). Anyway, I got what I wanted which were the tights (they tried to be sneaky by having all the smalls behind the larges and mediums, but I found them). I doubt there will be much left pretty soon because it didn't seem like they had a lot to begin with.

I just saw images of the 'riots' at H&M here in Holland, how was the battlefield, guys? :P

I'll post some pics I took this morning in the Rotterdam store later tonight, it was hell. Now it's looks like a fashion wasteland, with empty shelves and demented fashionista's circling the racks in hope of a re-fill... Hilarious!

everything in this collection looked so much better in the ads, what a shame...

that's exactly what i thought after i saw the clothes irl this afternoon. i especially hated the poor quality of the angora sweater (yes, i am, too, finding fuzzy woolish thingies all over me :yuk: ) and the weirdly cheap looking shoes. when i tried on the tux jacket, which i'd originally wanted, i found out that it simply didn't look good. so i didn't buy a thing

yes, that is true. People here didn't seem to buy the sweaters (pink or white).

Well, even for H&M customers there a limits what can be done with poor quality.

in Amsterdam it was just insane!!! I got there half past nine and was one of the people just about infront of the main doors. But when the doors open people started pushing so hard i got pushed back a little. Inside it was even worse, people were so bitchy and pulling things out of your hands.. claiming they touched something first etc.
Anyway if you click the link below..you can see some pics and a clip from the news of the H&M that i was at..it really was crazy!
I've been to rock concerts that i had to wait all night for and this was definetly a simular experience. Only who know a crowd of 80% girls could push this hard..they should have gotten extra security or something to hold some of those rude pushy people back. There was even a surprising amount of heavily pregnant women!

these are the things that i got..

Overall i'm moderately satisfied. the skirt i really like the most, it fits like a dream too! The bra is sized really oddly..so i'm taking that back for sure. I might try and get the white puffy jacket when they restock, it was really nice quality and the only thing i regret not getting.

Orgininally i wanted the skirt and green trench, but i only got my hands on the black one, which i didn't like for reasons stated(thick heavy material, attracts dust easily) so i put it back..after which like three people JUMPED on it.

I was so tired that when i came home i slept for like 3 hours straight.

I was about 1hour after opening of the HM Store in my city and it was so crazy crowded and people grabbing all stuff. I was so happy that I still got some pieces which I liked.

The red skirt, the black cardigan like top, the black silk shirt, and the black wool dress with short arms.

That's all for this month on spending for clothes :P

^ hey how's the skirt? is it really puffy? because now when it's hanging there, it doesn't look that puffy.. and i want it to be big :D

i'm still waiting this to come online, since v&r didn't happen in vaasa, finland. stella was sold so badly here so apparently decided not to stock this here. but i'm glad that they haven't advertised the online shopping at all, hoping that the site will work when it starts.
otherwise i have to travel to tampere..if they have anything left anymore

returnofsaturn - Thanks so much for the pics. I couldnt find a high qual pic of the grey sweatshirt before, it was hard to tell how it looked up close from the pics I saw before :flower:

^ well i'll just return it if i'm not satisfied :>

btw, i just checked out ebay and there's already some items on sale.. the trench is going for 100 $ and up, the most expensives (buy it now) are over 250 $. people are unreasonable. i would never pay that much for h&m clothes
umm.. the wedding dress goes 1,200 $ for buy it now price

Reading these comments about the crap quality makes me feel a little better for waking up late. I ended up arriving 20 minutes after the store opened, and already there wasn't much left except for the poop green dresses. I'm wondering though if my store even got the whole collection, cuz there were no trenches in sight and that's what I wanted.

it's not as big as i imagined it would be, you wear it around the waist not the hips. It's pretty loose hanging though. the effect is puffy when you see it on models..i don't know how they do that. i wear a size 38(US8). It fits pretty true to size, but if you're smaller around the waist it's definetly an advantage!

here are pics of me wearing it(and the grey sweater)

<-i swear i have two legs, wtf.
