bought this vintage dress today! (it's st. michaels, an old M&S dress) had to be the first in a queue to get it!

agreed, there's better pictures on my blog where its actually buttoned up.
the cut is just so stunning
and the pleats instead of the tails is what made me fall for it.

i was wondering if anyone has any tips for someone who is new to vintage shopping, it would be much appricated?

pchouclaire - the colors of your dress are amaaaaaaazing! :woot:

^Cheers Erin! :)

^YoninahAliza I would suggest that you just start to browse around vintage stores. Maybe pick a favorite era like the 60s or 70s to look for and focus on that. Make sure you always buy good quality-some of those 70s polyester dresses might look cute but are in no way shape or form comfortable. Are you looking for vintage couture or just vintage? Also, go prepared. I like to vintage shop a couple of stores at a time. Wear trousers and a top-easy clothes to take on and off so you can try things on. I have been into many hole in the wall vintage stores where there is no changing room. Hope that helps a bit! x

Also, I have some new (80s) red leather boots! (own pic-sorry about the quality):

Those are really cute, but I'm even more intrigued by your stockings! They
look sweet.

Thanks STYLEOCIDE :) They're Pretty Polly tights (I own every single pair in their line plus all the Henry Holland/Pretty Polly collaboration ones. Love them)!

I'm a sucker for vintage
but I get dissapointed a lot these days, nothing seems to fit me :(
