^ Thank you for the review, are there any new ad campaign shots in this issue?

You're welcome! :flower:

Unfortunately, there aren't any new ad campaign shots that we haven't already seen, except for the new Furla 2015.16 starring Anja Rubik.

^ Thank you, i feel like this year August issues didn't have a variety of new ads that they usually do. Somehow based on your review, this feels like a super thin, almost January issue.

It is thin but it's still quite a good issue - some great articles! I am eagerly anticipating the September issue, which I expect to be spectacular. I've also got a sneaking suspicion that a Testino edited issue could be in the works.

Victoria's editorial is a big disappointment for me. I don't find the styling exciting and the hair in the face just makes it worse.

Victoria's editorial is such a disappointment. Not to be mean but, she looks constipated. Sit it out girl. Sit it out.

That editorial looks like something s*cked the life out of her. Too bad.

Those are possibly one of the best photos of VB i have seen, the fifth shot is just gorgeous. I am always a sucker for Demarchelier studio portraits.

Ashleigh saves that ed, because i think the styling is very lacking.

Ashleigh's Good Genes edit is wonderful! Victoria's edit is very plain, but kinda loving that. Nice change from the usual over the top posing, etc., VB is used to displaying.

I'm not mad about the full body shots in Victoria's editorial, but the rest is quite impressive, especially the LV portraits.

Thanks so much for the review, Al92!!

Had a flip through this on the newsstand today, one of the weakest issues of VA I've seen in a while, though the magazine's definitely been slipping in general in the last couple of years. The Backham cover is passable only because so many of her other covers (including her previous VA one) were positively awful. The rest of the content is so... average.

Also, Vogue Australia, why did you have to feature Julie Bishop? Whyyyyyyyy... oh wait, I just remembered. You're owned by Newscorp.

I have to respectfully disagree. Across the board, there is a sense of elevation and finesse with the magazine - a breath of fresh air, particularly when it comes to the editorials and feature articles. Reflecting back to Vogue under Clements' editorship, though consistent, it was becoming increasingly one note.

Having said that, it is the August issue which is never that amazing to begin with. I also like that Julie Bishop is featured (she's been in Bazaar before). Political beliefs aside, I think its fantastic to feature successful women like Julie who is playing a major role shaping Australian society.

Could Victoria's ed be any more boring? :ermm:
