Smalls is definitely over-retouched but I think that it is a very good cover. It has a cool and unusual color palette and it is interesting to look at. Smalls looks stunning.
For a whole ignorant population that’s conditioned to the sloppy and cheap mess that’s facetune and filters, this 1st-year graphic design course D+ assignment is what passes for gold standard.
If I’m being really really really kind and grasping for straw, I’d say that this cut-and-paste result is a tribute to Jean-Paul Goude’s work with Grace Jones— cuz those 2D pillows are not what she was originally sitting on LMFAO
Nice to see Ms. Smalls landing a new Vogue cover.
The intention is good, but I find the production weak, and it makes me realize how much I need to see her through Raphael Pavarotti's lens
I'm truly angry when I see such BAD CHEAP results!!!
She's a TOP INTERNATIONAL FASHION MODEL and you do this???
The stylist should be fired and never work again.
The retouching is crazy bad!
The photo filters are basic and bad!
I can't freakin' believe IMG and her agents and herself agreed to these results.
We all know that when you reach a high level in the industry people can see the results and a preview prior publishing. I can't honestly believe Joan agreed to this or IMG or the photographer.
It's clearly a photoshop disaster all around.
The closeup shot is better but even the layout is f****ed-up and don't get me started on the colors.
Gosh it's bad!!!
