Vogue China January 2017 : Faye Wong by Mei Yuangui

Ahh love her way too much! This new haircut makes a strong reminiscence of her 90s heyday. She keeps it well. So pristine and sharp.

Quite a downgrade from her last cover, there's too much white and dull colours going on here.
Faye Wong is tied to Céline in the same sense that Zhou Xun is with Chanel, or Li Yuchun to Givenchy (or is it Gucci?), so this cover reeks more of marketing than anything else.

Was literally just listening to Faye! Really happy to see her here.

Guess not that turned off as if she'd just rolled out of bed in her boyfriend's shirt. But there's something that is off that can't really pinpoint to what that is for this cover. And think that the upper text should've been higher to eliminate some of that space. All just nitpicking.

Well I do like that this is an unconventional pose for VC and Faye looks rad and such a throwback!

Also, believe this is the first cover by Yuan Gui? If so congrats to finally get the cover after many years working with VC (hopefully that means more Chinese names other than Chen Man - she could still do a cover or two, but let others get a chance).

Personally hope that VC brings in new photogs like they've did the past couple years but also bring back former names such as I&V, Jansson, Hamza, Lachlan and McDean to name a few. Think they should work with McGinley again and attract people like Hawkesworth and Christian MacDonald or M&M... and this is unrealistic and quite a stretch but how about Meisel? Just personal taste and something out of the blue of many possibilities whether viable or not.

Anyway looking forward to Liu Wen's edit with Lubomirski and 2017 for VC.

Simple, yet unpredictable cover shot! Ice cold, but i still like it. And how wonderful to see Yuangui shot the cover! ^ I second that, and say let's give other Chinese photographers more covers!

gorgeous woman.

but my goodness, VC covers look the same

A very poor styling choice. The whole white shirt thing is completely passe. This is a missed oppurtunity.

I don't know this girl but the cover is stunning. Love this palette of colors. Perfect for winter.

Faye Wong is such a beautiful woman but this styling is really amateurish. You can feel there is no story/inspiration behind, very lazy editorial.

Yasmin stunning, but sometimes I just want to shake her! Wish she portrayed more range. It's in her, she looks great on the runway.

And I feel like I've seen this styling from Robbie countless already times this year. I just have an overall problem with the editors at VC
