Vogue España July 2012 : Karolina Kurkova by Miguel Reveriego

haters gon' hate, but Kate Upton looks incredible in that editorial. and it's actually quite refreshing to see a more curvy girl like her. feels like a total throwback to glamazons of the 80s/90s. super super hot.

i am LOVING KK's hair in the "Bajo El Sol Le Le Toscana" editorial! the feathered style really works for her. she looks so beautiful and sensual in that edit. and i swear, the 5th pic, where she's laying on her stomach, looks straight from 2001.

also am digging the KK/Cavalli edit. it makes perfect sense that she's become a sort of muse for him. and also now i get why she was exlusively in Cavalli for the entirety of the Cannes Film Festival. (*do i smell a campaign?*) i definitely need someone to translate the story into english. i'd be most most mooooost grateful!

thanks so much for posting!!

I know, she looks amazing there! (probably because you can't see much of her face), her body and the entire story in general are so reminiscent of pictures from the early 90s, with all these exuberant, perfectly tanned models in great outdoor spaces. Miguel Reveriego scores again, credit where credit's due.

I give Miguel Reveriego his credit, but I also give Kate Upton credit for good posing, "tension" and presence. Also, while it is not as apparent in this ed, what sold me on Kate as a model is that when I looked up from her big boobs, she does a good job connecting with the camera and has a confident gaze.

Re the other eds:
Bajo el sol de la Toscana is alright, I like the styling and the image of Karolina on her stomach.

I really like El último emperador, especially the shot of Karolina surrounded by flowers and the one with the two Cavallis. All in all Karolina is giving good face here, something that she does not always do.

I run hot and cold on Bianca Balti, but she looks good in Espíritu Olímpico, her hair looks great and makes me want to go out and buy some Loreal hair care products.

All that Jazz is a good showcase of items from the current collections, I like the camera trick of shooting from below to make the legs look longer. I think that I would like this ed better in another issue, this issue is overloaded with pedestrian blondes - all that's missing is a Toni Garrn ed.

I like the hair and the sporty looks in Rompiendo marcas but I don't like the pairing of the sporty looks with heels, I don't know if it is heels themselves or the particular shoes chosen.

Kate looks amazing in her editorial. I totally hate her but here is the proff that with a good concept even the most sl*tty girl can look supr sexy without looking oversexy.

 @ calling Kate "the most sl*tty girl"

Oh come on, why is she such a sl*t for being basically a swimsuit model?

Looking that good in a swimsuit is something that's fallen out of fashion, so when a model like Kate comes on the scene, she's deemed vulgar, whereas 20 years ago, that sort of body would have got you a swimsuit calendar, a Pepsi commercial, several covers of Vogue, a million-dollar offer from Playboy, your name in every newspaper, and a reputation as a lucky girl, rather than a sl*tty one.

Ok Kate is such an amazing model.. oh god what the hell is doing Karolina on the cover when there are models with big "pears" that make our lives happier. I really hope she gets a HF campaign soon...chanel. prada...., I can imagine the campaign hung on the wall of a mechanic workshop...gladdening sight of those dirty employees. I hope so:D

to be fair, she's not considered vulgar solely because of her body type. It has more to do with her actions and those videos of her bouncing up and down to show off her boobs to songs or taking pictures of herself with glasses between her boobs. she brings vulgarity into the conversation all by herself. which is really how she stays relevant, no?

that said, that editorial is HOT, I love the dynamic created with geometric shapes and the tension she creates with the lines of her body. Miguel Reveriego made this issue for me. I only wish the Bianca Balti editorial was better

Kate's never been a favorite of mine, but she looks awesome in her ed! Amazing body and great posing!

sl*tty or not Kate looks so amazing on this editorial, some of the shots could had made a memorable cover and not the current one with a disastrous styling like Elle Spain. If Vogue Spain had a good stylist and not Belén Antolín wich motto is 'More jewels and fringes better, definitely more glamorous, more deluxe' would be a great success..

Discussion and outbursts such as this, drives me insane. Fashionistas are oblivious to other models, besides this you-know-what look - it's so snobbish. Only because she does VS, Sports Illustrated and shoots with Terry Richardson. There is no denying Kate's spread in this issue is a stunner, and beats the other models appearances.

Anyway.. I have zero complaints with the issue. Spanish Vogue has become a must-have. And having Giampaolo Sgura and Jason Kibbler as contributors, I'm for too. Thanks for the review and Zinio extractions.

I'm loving KK and Kate's editorials. I'm looking for Kate to do more some eds and maybe a Vogue cover in the near future.

Karolina looks gorge in her editorail! As for Kate I don't get her appeal and doing a swimsuit editorial is not exactly a stretch for her. Boring ed and awful hair.
