Vogue Italia February 2020 : Vittoria Ceretti by Oliver Hadlee Pearch & Maty Fall by Paolo Roversi

What a missed opportunity. I'd make Vitto float in a Valentino parachute dress like a corpse in the overflowing Venice canals. It'd be controversial, delicious and draw attention to the cause.
exactly. and instead of insulting people, it might actually work to some extent, at least. i absolutely despise this, no matter how good this act or intention was supposed to be (ignoring the fact that all their recent work has been so blatantly calculated), this is a big no-no. asking for a donation on the cover of a fashion magazine is atrocious.

besides that, i don't find anything interesting about the cover.

The issue comes with a bulletin that’s released in English.
I think it’s basically the same as the ‘English texts’ section they used to release before on the last pages of the magazine.
I hope they do this with future issues as well.

Is it just me of the issue with Vittoria on the cover is in a narrower format than the ITALIAN one?

This is interesting. Finally we can give Farneti credit for something.

I assume it's just an illusion since it's on top of another magazine and there's a slight curve. I just recently purchased one of their issues (december) and it was the usual format.

I like that they're publishing articles on english now, but the fuss he's trying to create around it is stupid. You're not the first to do it, probably not the last. It's not that big of a deal... He just makes me cringe, I can't stand the man!

I don’t think Farneti would engage in any controversy of his own doing. He has no talent that makes him indispensable. He’s no Franca/Anna.

And that’s why Vogue Italia is a safe magazine. Pedestrian at best.

One of the reasons I used to rationalise spending my limited money as a teen on something as expensive as Vogue Italia was that it inspired me to learn Italian.

Incorporating an English translation into the magazine might give it greater appeal on the newsstand - but if you're buying Vogue Italia in the first place, it's because you already know what it stands for.

And if they already had the English translation appearing on the back pages, why change the format?

Bundling the magazine with a stand-alone English translation is just an excuse to plastic-wrap the magazine every month to make it seem like you're getting something extra, as well as stopping you from seeing the piss-poor contents before you spend your money in the store.

And with all this extra paper and plastic, what about the environment? Or was that just for last month?

That's it? This magazine is becoming worse that Dazed, but with even less content.
And Carlos Nazario seems to be one of those stylists who should be working under intense moderation because all his work outside American Vogue has been trite.

The Guinness edit looks somewhat tolerable, but this is really a terrible issue!

Wow, that Cedric Buchet ed! It is Prada S/S 2001 campaign all over again! Same photographer, same model (Luca), similar setting and Prada outfits throughout. I will take it for the sake of nostalgia. I don't know if this feeling is good or bad...

And again, I want to burn that Andrea Artemisio ed like all his previous works for VI. Leave him for those indie titles please.

Thanks for posting all the eds!

I love that ed. And Also that campaign! Such high impact. Still very relevant today.

I only like Roma Capoccia, it's fabulous and the breath of fresh air that this magazine needs. Vittoria looks gorgeous in her edit though.
