Thanks so much for posting these.... Wonderful wonderful!!!!! So refreshingly original.. Notice all the little details : the smoking, the pregnant girls, the Uggs, the smoking, the Starbucks coffees, the celebrity big sunglasses, the thong peaking out, walking barefeet, all the tiered skirts, the Von Dutch caps, all the Dior monogram overkill.... Ah lovely!!!!!

Yuck

Despite everyone's opinions I have a different one. I think the editorial does have an interesting idea. However, an great idea needs great excution in order to make the editorial great. I think the idea needs some further developement and so does the way that it's photographed. It's stuck in between paparazzi and fashion. Has ITA Vogue gone low? Where's the "high" fashion. Also I felt disgusted by how many pictures this editorial had and the number of repetitive images there were. It got to a point that it felt like a overkill. The number of images overwhelmed the idea. Anyways a big thumbs down for meisel and the editors at ITA Vogue this month.

I think what you need to understand is that the style chosen to photograph these pics depict candid pictures we see of celebs everyday. It would have been stupid to make them look all high fashion and make the look of the pics all polished. It is meant to depict the reality not enhance it.

Kim-I think you're missing my point here. I'm fully aware that they're trying to do candid. But when was ITA Vogue known for that? Isn't that getting in the realm of other magazines. I just don't think it fits. Plus I think it's too "polished" as well b/c it's not shot with a 35mm camera and looks WAY too saturated for it to be candid. That's just my photographer's perspective. And when was fashion magazines about "reality"???

^ I do understand your point of view, but personnally I find this to such creative idea. And I don't think Vogue Italy is going downhill because of that the ideas behind every single cover is much more interesting that the other Vogues (ex.: Usa..... ).

i think that this just proves vogue italia IS the best, because fashion is about innovation and right now, when everyone pays homage to celebrities, poking fun of them is the ultimate.

oh, and i loved that the models didn't have much makeup on and that there was little airbrushing.
