Vogue Italia January 2005 : Hollywood Style by Steven Meisel

I saw this shoot long time ago and I'm watching it every time I'm not in the mood, lol. I love it! Steven you're a god!

OMG!!! this is so trashy.. I would never expect something like this from VOGUE Italia!!
vogue italia is sooo over this sh*t!!!
wrong wrong wrong idea!!!!!!!

steven you are the best, but was it necessary?????????????

I have a question for you all, as I'm not an expert on the workings of the fashion editorial. Does an idea such as this one come more from the photographer ("I want to shoot an editorial where...") or the editor ("let's play with hollywood and...") or is it really a collaboration of both?

I think the stylist should also commended as they were able to show the clothes in an everyday way as opposed to a high fashion presentation and make it look natural and unforced but still fun at the same time.

I'm just wondering. I have never bought an issue of IV, but I think I will soon. But is all the writing in Italian? Do you know italian or do you just look at the pictures?
It must be a waste of money if I can't read anything..

I'm from Italy, so I can answer you.
Yes, it's all written in Italian. But some parts are only photos.
So you can only look at the photos, but they are not too many.
I can read it, so I have not this problem :D

actually they do feature english versions of the articles sometimes:flower:

Rarely. I buy Vogue every month and the english articles are three times a year, I think.

I was in Italy over the summer and this issue of Vogue was sold out EVERYWHERE. It was impossible to find. I eventually had to steal my design teachers issue. Has anyone seen the latest Italian Vogue? There's a plastic surgery type editorial, which is also amazing.

In this issue of Vogue ther is also "Vogue sport" where there is a picture of a friend of mine. So I bought it the day it was for sell for the first time.

there's a thread on it somewhere, i think.
please let's keep things on topic and talk about the hollywood issue here:flower:
