i'm sorry but the Multiethnic Gallery pretty much just looks like a bunch of caricatures of what oblivious people think certain cultures look like. I seriously cannot stop rolling my eyes at this whole issue. Franca is attempting to "reach out" but she comes across as really ignorant.

^Love West Meets East, the styling is so on point and makes me love that Prada collection so much more.

Kind of cliche, but it is really a beautiful thing seeing ethnic models in high fashion magazine.:flower:

EVU's ed it very cool. The first two shots are killer!

Wow, Fei Fei and Sung Hee in one issue- that's a must have for me! And it's great to see other (not so well-known) Asian models. Even though I'm not a fan of the "themed" issues.

of course it's tokenism and gimmick. I don't know why we would expect more. Italy doesn't have a large asian population i wouldn't think, and thus would not appeal to the mass market.

What i'd like to see more of is more Asian girls on magazines from Asia. All I see are European models on the covers of Vogue Korea, China, japan. Why is the western ideal so coveted, I'd wish they'd embrace their own beauty more. That would be much more powerful than a one off Asian model in a European magazine. (and i must add, she barely looks asian in those images)

I agree that Maryna's picture would have been an amazing cover. However, the actual cover is great

Got mine earlier. It's unfortunate that issue comes with a sticker slammed on the front here. Because it's just too much of a beautiful cover to deface. But I won't even attempt to remove it. The main editorial is even more desirable than the digital images suggest. The layout does the shots justice, making the entire story stimulating and accessible to the eye. I hate it when there's white space around photos and I can't get a real sense of the image.

This. Just the title alone is so ugh. The Ellen von Unwerth one is ok, tho.
