Vogue Italia June 2008 : Linda Evangelista by Steven Meisel

I really like this issue so far. I like the cover, and I love Linda's editorial. She's not my favorite model, but I like the editorial. I like the vintage, 60's look of it...that faded technicolor aesthetic. And I think it's interesting how they made Linda look older than she really is...maybe that's some commentary on this whole supermodels of the 90's thing? I don't know...maybe I'm just grasping at straws!

Holy cow, what a cast...lovely actresses and models both! :woot:

Lucy Lui..:woot: & my girl Drew..:woot:..Cameron D & Destiny :woot: :ninja:

can't wait to see Lucy Lui's ed! ^_^

The issue as whole looks extremely dry and boring at the same times. Linda on the other hand, very beautiful. Refreshing seeing her on a cover(can't say it's a good one, there were better selections in the edito)...and Luxx I completely agree with everything you've just said. Appreciated!;)

Yay for Anja and Lucy Liu! I like Linda's editorial but I hate the cover, what a terrible choice for a cover :(

I'm pretty sure the Greg Lotus ed. is Sofi/ Supreme

For all of you expecting scans, this is not your lucky day :flower: Unfortunately, I have no time to scan anything right now but I decided to snap the entire issue instead. I'm sure scans will follow soon, as the issue is out already.

It's my little darling Lóris Kraemerh, she's brazilian!!! :woot:

The ed is very elegant, and probably aims to appeal more to the grandmommy crowd and to be honest, I do find a lot of today's models beautiful, cute, charming or sexy, but you do need to be a super from the 90s to pull this off and convince people that you have this commanding presence worthy of a manor. Linda is not my favorite supermodel but she is still a force of nature, but her eyebrows really bother me.

from what I see..the issue
looks great i especially loves
Anja's eds she is stunning
as usual

This issue suonds really exciting! Lucy Liu & Maggie Cheung!:woot: Two of my favorite actresses! Can't wait to see the scans!

Thanks for all the snaps, Style Expert!.

The cover and all of the eds are positively awful. ^_^
and Linda..jeez.. she's so boring.. I couldn't care less about her age, while people crave for supermodels, to me she just represents everything I always dreaded about the industry, the lack of humbility, the air of grandiosity and self-reverence.. and all the bees mesmerised by her home-made honey.. a part of the 90s was obsessed with building gods for everything.. and I'm glad we're past that.. to see Vogue Italia doing their best effort to bring the flame back.. I don't know whether to think it's all for the sake of an old friendship or just because they feel like there has to be a month for nostalgic hearts. either way.. there's always a next month.. and hopefully it is one that brings and represents the current and much more grounded reality of girls these days.. I don't care if it's claudia schiffer or ali stephens, just let it be someone who at least appears like they care about current events and not someone who sells (and might even believe) the passé fairytale of being way beyond that.
yeah.
