I suppose this and the launch of GQ Hong Kong are how Condé Nast plans on recovering from the closure of Chinese GQ.
Agreed, they have access to the very best but cannot publish the very best. I also do not think there is one good cover shot above.None of these 3 are any good.
I'm always amazed by the fact that these huge titles from Condé Nast or press groups have:
- SO MUCH MONEY
- Access to every place
- Access to the best photographers and stylists
- Access to huge stars
and they end up with bad cover shoots.
I'm all for new magazines coming up (especially in these troubled times for fashion magazines / the press and the economy) with these big GQ or Vogue editions but if the results are that boring or lackluster then it's better not to do it. Truthfully.
I don't think they're even trying to shoot good covers. Are the advertisers happy? Yep? Is the talent happy? Yep. It's a wrap.and they end up with bad cover shoots
