Wow Thalia! I like her but the covers are just too basic.

She was crazy big in my country in Southeast Asia in the 90’s and early 00’s.

I believe if you showed a picture of her to people of my generation or before me, people might not know her name, but called her Maria Mercedes, Marimar or Rosalinda instead.

Well-deserved. She's an icon in Latin America.

So bad ahahaha SO BASIC! Did they even try??? Just a freakin' coat and bare makeup and you can that a Vogue cover??? Plus this woman in South America is huge I heard therefore her cover should have come sooner and after decades of working you give her that as a cover??? OK lol...

I see her personal style is very Sofia Vergara so maybe that's why they've taken the stripped-down route, but even then it could be executed better. But maybe this will sell her to the Zoomers.

The cover doesn't make any justice for our Queen. Thalia is very tacky and I feel they tried to disguised her into someone else.

The cover for LatAm is so gorgeous! Wow!

Latin America definitely for the win this month! What a splendid cover for spring, Blesnya looks absolutely radiant.

They shared shootings for different vogue’s? The latam cover is the same team that Vogue Spain feb editorial...mmm suspicious

About Thalia’s cover, it’s a miss not making it for Latam in terms of sales, she is very popular there and for sure will attract more people to buy it. What’s behind that decision??

The Latam cover is ok...looks more like and inside photo than a cover tbh.

It struck me as odd as well, surely people in Latin America would know who she is? That would be tons better than a reprinted edit.

^30/40 year old people know who she is for sure but I was thinking that they want to appeal to a younger demographic and they probably hardly know her or are not interested in her... her last novela was 20 years ago after all.

I know her from Quinceañera which was late 80s

I doubt young people are interested in unknown models or in magazines in general, for that matter.

Yeah people know Thalia more than this model for sure. Also she reinvented herself doing duets with younger artists and changing her music to reggaeton-pop so the young people know her for that and the rest for her Telenovelas and pop music career.

But im sure the team of VMX tested before making this odd choice for Latam.

I like more the option for Latin America, and the cover has a model, so I don't crying about it. But yeah, Thalia is a star and celebs sells more than models today. I think they have a line-up of cover models (you see them more for the Latin American edition), and VM has a deal with models agencies. By the way, I remember and ed with Blésnya in the december issue of this magazine, shared with VS. Maybe it's the same team, but the story is exclusive for VM. I hope to find the way to buy this one, that dress is gorgeous (can't believe it's D&G). Reminds me of to Blanca Padilla's cover in 2016.

Telenovelas were huge in my country back in the late 90s-early 00s. She and Gabriela Spanic were the queens of the TV screen. I also happen to like Ana Maria Orozco who was the original Betty from “Yo soy Betty, la fea” before the show was adapted into “Ugly Betty” in the US. And who could’ve forgottennthe supposed feud between Thalia and Mariah Carey back in the day? All because of Tommy Mottola.

As for the cover, for someone as legendary as her, she should’ve been given a full-on glamorous treatment. No one wants to see Thalia looking normcore.

I just hate-watched an episode of Marimar and all I'm thinking is they should have put her in a cerulean tulle gown with pink glitter cha-cha heels...that was a memorable look!
