She instantly reminds me of Mariah 1990, and the shot and cover resembles 1990 American Vogue.

I love it! I don’t follow her since 2005 but this is a beautiful cover and makes justice to her beauty. I know she’s not as fashion as other pop girls but the dress fits perfect to her body. And for the icon title, of course she deserved it. She broke boundaries for latin musicians all over the world, no matter how much bad or good music she releases these days, she’s a pioneer and that matters a lot.

I'm having a flashback to Shakira's Elle covers she enlisted journalists in ruses to try and pull off a tax residency scam where she evaded millions of euros in taxes.

Will be interesting to see if she attempts the same in Vogue Mexico. Will journalists fall for it again?

Very 90s in a good way though the text somewhat ruins it. Surprised that this is her first Vogue considering that she's one of the biggest stars in the world. During the peak of her career she should have fronted US Vogue. But then again Janet Jackson is one of the biggest musicians of all time and a major style influence yet has never been on vogue so it's not suprising.

Very Mariah Carey-ish and yes I was also wondering for many years why she hadn't fronted Vogue. However she has many ELLE, HARPER'S BAZAAR, COSMOPOLITAN, MARIE CLAIRE covers in several countries so it's not like the media was trying to turn away from her. And it's also true that other major stars haven't fronted Vogue either during their peak years.
