Vogue Mexico & Latin America June 2019 : Gigi Hadid by Giampaolo Sgura

No, Sgura shot this cover.

:rofl: You lot are savage! If this was 2016, you'd have seen me bleeding all over the carpet over such a statement, but not anymore. My problem with Sgura is that he's getting an awful lot of opportunities, yet cannot seem to push himself creatively. At least Jansson's bad work seems to be concentrated around British and American Vogue, elsewhere he's in top form. With Sgura it's across the board. And yes, even with the shirtless blokes, Ivano!

I noticed Vogue Mexico turned off their comments for this cover. Why would that be? Anyone know the t?

LOL yah you and I typically disagree on many things but definitely yes to this!

Maybe because Elle Mexico launched a cover with Valentina Sampaio at the same time and it's being celebrated by the media and LGBTTIQ+ community and Vogue used Gigi.

It looks cheap, like a Glamour ed. I agree it'd have looked better with Bella, she has that chic, elegant aura that was needed to elevate that type of shoot, although I agree with everyone saying it's disappointing we keep seeing the same faces, it kills the excitement.

Who in their right minds would suggest this look to its readers? Like ew?

Because of the gays (me included) that only buy GQ when there's a GQ style supplement.

As a straight guy, I only buy GQ with the Style supplements because here is the fashion that you can't find in the other 11 (or 10 i don't know) issues. I understand your point: GQ is like MAXIM on a budget tipped to Victoria's Secret angels with bikinis

Let's face it... With Gigi and Sgura we may have had something worse than that!

Poor all round. Gigi always falls flat with a natural no make-up look - she needs full on glamour to shine imo. As for Sgura, his leverage in the fashion industry never ceases to amaze me considering what a poor photographer he is. How does he keep booking these jobs?!

Celia Azoulay really need to move on from this contrived cowgirl styling!

The hair extensions look very cheap and obvious, not Vogue worthy at all. You'd never see that in Vogue Paris. Both eds don't sell the clothes at all.

I now see it is actually styled by Cavaco, yet it looks so similar to Madison's cover which was styled by Celia!
