Vogue Paris August 2009 : Daria Werbowy by Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

When I saw the title I thought 'Oh no!', but I had a very nice surprise. The cover doesn't look heavy and it is very 80's.
This issue seems to be very strong. Nice cast, great to see Malgosia, Isabeli, Natasa... So many models.
The beauty editorial is also very nice, I love the first shot.
I'm predicting that this issue is going to be better than September's one
One page for each designer?

The behemoth main I&V edit reminds me of the grand editorial "Mode, Mode, Mode" shot by David Sims in the September 2005 issue with Nicole Kidman on the cover.

That's what I thought as well.

i'm not impressed by this issue or the cover but the ADN de la mode got my attention

Such a perfect cast in the I&V ed(minus Anna Jagodzinska of course) and it's always nice to see Malgosia, she is so beautiful. I wish that Georgia May Jagger would get lost though and stop trying to be like Lara Stone.

Photography wise, I wouldnt give much credit to I&V, the styling really makes
up the entire ed, I'm really curious to know which outfit is styled by which stylist B)

I disagree, as I said it looks like classic I&V to me, the same editorial shot by Sims or Demarchelier would look more clinical and catalogue-like to me

Indeed! I&V give this kind of studio eds a certain edge which makes it all the more interesting and likeable.

Though, I do agree that the styling is wonderful as well.
