Vogue Paris February 2008 : Kate Moss & Naomi Campbell by Mario Testino

BerlinRocks and others... can somebody please explain me the exact role creative director plays in such publications as Vogues. i mean what's his take on the image of the magazine, on the content and the look. what part of the PV's vision comes from Carine and what part is Fabien's and other team members? what's the difference between being an editor, a fashion editor, a creative director, an art director? i do feel the difference still it seems like there's so much nuances i'd love to learn. please, someone, teach me :)

and somebody mentioned that Courtney Love would be perfect for the 'bad girls' issue. no doubt. but i can clearly see why they went for Amy. She's young, she's fresh, she's on HYPE. Courtney is not the girl you're gonna wonder who she is, and we have to admit she's a real fashion DIVA. and since Amy's still kind of maverick who explores dirty-messy-laundry aesthetic, the so-called 'drunk-housewife-chic' Courtney is revitalizing in the circles of Karl and Riccardo Tisci. If Amy is a rebellion (what part of this comes from her nature and what's prayed by media we won't guess), then Courtney is an established FASHION star with POP cover, Bazaar's eds and Tisci calling her his muse.
it's pretty obvious Carine chose the fresh path to follow. Creating a fashion icon is much more ambitious than celebrating one.
I agree, but she'll be celebrated in April when she's on the cover. She says she and Carine got on well, better than her and Anna Wintour ever did. :flower:

Looks like Courtney was mentioned in this issue however, unless someone who has it can say whether this is inside?

^yes courtney is mentionned in an article...
it's about bad girls.... she's known for being a bad girl.......
I think kapusta talked about an inspirational editorial...

she recently did a sort of come back when she lost all this weight.... (thanks to Mario Testino, she said)....
and i wouldn't be surprised Carine put Courtney Love on a cover.... after Paris Hitlon.... a new controverse.... a all new courtnella loversace.....
she's a total freak............ but i think she can be ok in pictures....
she's done good pictures with M&M last year, non?

all this is cool....
eventhough, i still don't understand this come-back....
just because of girls coming back from rehab' or going to jail?????
indeed, little girls used to be discreet......
what's going on with her band ???

Thank you. You're very helpful.

By her "band" you dont mean Hole? That has been defunct since 2000. Her next "solo" record comes out spring. Her first record since 2004 disaster "America's Sweetheart". Since then she has been in rehab (2005) and been working on songs for this album, tentatively titled, "Nobody's Daughter".

this issue looks great; i muct go into town and get it. Thank you

^I hope it will be available in Holland, bacause the last couple of runway supplements were not :(

Thanks taben for the the scan!
I have another question: are there any pages featured specific models in the supplement? Just like last August one(I remember there's Suvi, Lily D., Stam, Lara...). If there are some, could you please scan them? Thanks!:flower:

^ Ugh yes sorry, I wanted to post the featurettes on models when I read them but totally forgot  There's one on Kim Noorda, one on Natasha poly, one on Maryna Linchuk and another one on... 'm not sure about the last one, I don't have time this morning but I'll try and scan them tonight if I remember it
