Vogue Poland October 2018 : Monika JAC Jagaciak by Zuza Krajewska

... for me, this cover has a lot of sense of humor. It's like: dont treat fashion so serious!

Interesting, because that's not what I'm getting at all. It does however seem like they're trying to be corny, or better still, recreate those epic escape edits US Vogue used to do with a single model on exotic locale, and ended up with the Glenda Bailey equivalent. Either way, massive fail.

Thanks for the review. :)

I'm just trying to imagine if my opinion would be any more positive had this been Vogue Mexico shooting the dancers of "El ballet folklorico"... I don't think so, it's such a random set up and it still wouldn't make any sense within the context of Vogue, the fashion magazine, not a travel agency brochure. A bit of healthy patriotism never hurt anybody but wouldn't it have been better to see these dancers...well, dance? Have them show of their stellar physiques in dramatic poses?

How I miss US Vogue's exotic editorials, some of them were cringey, others were dreamy. I fondly remember one in Vienna with Natalia Vodianova and another in Spain with Stella Tennant.

Seems to me like a strong statement about immigration policies in the US...
Or about nationalism in Poland ? That was my first thought when seeing the cover.
Bu you're right, since it's shot in Chicago, it's probably about US immigration too :)
