Vogue Russia December 2014 : Natalia Vodianova by Paolo Roversi

I do like the vintage feel to it, but her expression is creeping me out, too.

I love Natalia but she does look a bit creepy. They could have gone with a much fresher, edgier take on her.

Vogue Russia has such weird looking covers as does Allure. I wonder if this is on purpose. Is the tacky looking oligarchs wife the look they are actually going for.

She looks so creepy. It's weird, but all of her recent work has been really lackluster. It's like she's not even trying

I know, if I wasn't her fan I could possibly want another model on the cover of a magazine.... which will never happen  ... but I think you can agree she deserved a cover because she managed to stay big and relevant in this industry for a decade now, they should celebrate that, it would be a nice gift for her work. :flower:

Vogue Russia had really boring cover choices this year, they should've replaced them with Natasha ^_^

I´m gonna disagree and question this statement, is she really relevant nowadays? I think she keeps working because of her history as a model and maybe her new "socialite" status but when was the last time she walked a major show or got a blue chip campaign?

Is it confirmed that Sorrenti shot the cover? this looks like something Patrick Demarchelier would do

i really adore Natalia - but the facial expression is sooo
"scary movie"

It's no place for model talk but since I instigated it...

On her return to the runway after her baby was born, she opened Prada FW14, walked for Balenciaga with Mariacarla & Gisele, plus Givenchy, got Gucci FW14 ad, plus H&M and Alexander x H&M, plus the L'Oréal ads contract, walked SS15 season for Givenchy, and opened Pucci, where Mariacarla closed and Naomi led the finale. This year she got 8 Vogue covers and one Antidote Magazine cover. And each season she always snags a blue chip campaign. I'm not being bias, these are the facts! :flower:

You might not like her, I understand everyone has an opinion, and likes different things and/or different people, but you got to admit she is still very relevant... 3 Vogue October 2014 covers... that's being relevant. She has been playing this game for 10 years, that's hard work and perseverance.

I understand, in fashion everything goes really fast! And if you don't follow a certain model it is obvious you won't remember what she has done lately we have many brands, many magazines & publications, millions of models.... it's hard to keep up... :flower::wink:

Mario Sorrenti is my favorite photographer, this cannot be his work..... :ninja: can someone confirm that?:blink::o

EDIT confirmed by Vogue Russia Facebook page that the photographer is Paolo Roversi can a mod add it to the thread title?

^Thanks for the confirmation. I meant Roversi btw, I´m always mixing these two :rolleye:

Her facial expression is odd and uncomfortable
I used to love seeing Natalia but her work has been pretty lackluster lately
At least the dress is nice

I don't know people like it because of Natalia or not but this is just awful

imo the editorial looks so much better than the cover, a missed opportunity to have used a way better pic...
