W April 2006 : Jessica Simpson by Michael Thompson

W really is a neverending source for humor these days!

The ppl over at the W editorial office should be careful with what they digest. I hear some of the new slimming drugs could have bad neurological side effects :innocent:

The cover looks like something that should be on People. Or us, or star.

They didn't even try with the editorial- not that it would have ever made up for putting JESSICA SIMPSON on the cover.

How low can the editors go???????????????????????????

I hate the cover, how can a fashion magazine put such a STAR on cover

Ugh, I really don't like Jessica being on W. Then again I don't like Jessica in general. lol :innocent:

Some info about Jessica's article:

from sweetkisses.net:

Jessica Simpson has spoken for the first time about her split with hubby Nick Lachey. The Dukes of Hazzard stunner has revealed that she was miserable towards the end of their relationship. And she confessed she had no idea why they started to drift apart. Last night she said: "You have to realise that if you're not happy, you can't make anybody else happy. "I don't know what happened to me ... it's so strange. "I'm just proud of allowing myself to think and act and be." She added: "I feel free. I feel like I can do anything and there's nobody to answer to but myself." Jessica, 25, reveals she still talks to Nick, 32, every few days. She left the former boy-band star in December after three years of marriage. She tells the forthcoming issue of American fashion magazine W that they are "absolutely" still friends, and she hopes speaking out will help to mend her broken heart. She added: "It's like girl time, a healing within, in a lot of ways." Friends say Jessica is determined to shed her public images as a dizzy blonde. A pal told US magazine In Touch Weekly: "She is sick of being the ditzy blonde. "She wants to show the world that she has a brain." Jessica also tells W magazine that she is set to publish a volume of poetry, which she has been writing since she was 11. She adds: "It's a piece of my heart I want to share with my fans."

"The Simpson" by Whitney McNally has been edited for Style.com; the complete story appears in the April 2006 issue of W.

W once knew better. I mean, Lindsay, MK Olsen and now Jessica? I bet you Nicole Richie will take the cover one of these months. I bet ya!

wow, jessica makes high designer clothes look like they came from the hustler store.

and publishing a book of poetry from when she was 11??? at least well get some laughs

Pleaseee say there's some amazing editorial in it. There's no way it's not going straight in the trash the instant it arrives if it doesn't.

Reborn? Like Nick really put a dog choker on her neck and said sit! This is bs and a way to sell her side of the story. It makes me sick. She's just out for herself and that's it. Like getting a divorce is real cool. As soon as she got her "hot bod" she just wanted to screw around.

Have you noticed those were all ready sought after interviews?
This is why I think celebrities appearing on W will become even more frequent. W is known primarily as a fashion magazine. Since they don't specialize in celebrities, more publicists and managers are willing to give that 'candid' interview to them. Unlike People or Vanity Fair, W won't defame the celeb. W also benefits from higher sales. Everybody wins...
Except us.
