W August 2007 : David & Victoria Beckham by Steven Klein

^ ^^ The picture are shot a couple of months ago. Probibly somewhere in April or even March. It's almoist impossible that M&M or Doutzen saw the JT shoot before it became published in the magazine. So I really think it's bullsh*t what you guys are tellin'.

^ I wasn't implying that M&M copied Teller. I was just agreeing with the fact that that shot reminded me of the Lara shot, and it was purely coincidental. I actually love both editorials equally.

did anyone read the last laugh by louise j. esterhazy? I like her chuzpah...she states that, and I am paraphrasing, if fashion editors had to pay full price for their clothes then they might change their attitudes regarding certain designer's who make clothes for publicity sake foregoing the original purpose of making women more beautiful. the article is emphasizing American sportswear heritage, it's designers and why are they trying to be more European?

maybe, as she states so well, "the idea of fashion is that it is a business, and the goal for any designer should be to sell and sell more". louise j. esterhazy

Breathtaking, to say the least

Faith thx for your wonderful scans!

Doutzen really works out the eds

Ahh this is probably the best publication when compared to its price here ; 5,50 euros. Bliss. (American Vogue is 7,60 UK around ten and Nylon is 5 to get it in contex)And this issue was on the thicker side too...

The 'Into The Woods' editorial with Doutzen is incredible  I don't understand why so many are against her, she's perfection in these shots. I love the theme of the little bears and the bows. This has to be one of my favorite ed's ever. It's just got that thing. Mert&Marcus never dissapoint.

^ Oh really? And here I thought it was just differences in tastes and opinions. Good to know it's just jealousy ^_^

The thing I liked most about this issue is the back page Dolce & Gabbana ad with Coco giving it some with the whip.

The Beckham section was a bit of a let-down; you see more of David than anything else - here, he's the supermodel, and she might as well have stayed at home. However, the other editorials looked even better on paper than they did in scans - and I'm another convert to the Doutzen cause, because she looked lovely in her 'twisted teddy bears picnic' edit.

Oh well, here's to September...
