W August 2009 : Lara Stone by Steven Klein

i can't wait to plaster this whole magazine over my walls. come on W, get in my mailbox already!

^ Love to see some previews, really hope I&V do something inspiring this time :flower:

So far, I haven't really liked what I have seen. Lara as Bardot just doesn't work because she lacks Bardot's freshness and that French "je ne sais quoi". They should have portrayed her as Lara. It would have been a lot better. As for Guinevere's ed I think it's far too dark for me to like it.

Can't wait to buy it! I wish they sold Vogue Paris at Barns&Nobels :( just in case Lara is on the cover because my dad doesn't let me use his credit card so I could subscrie to the magazines I like online ;(

WOW, what an amazing ed by Sorrenti and Guinevere, there are times I detest his work, but whenever he sticks to this ethereal, calm aesthetic (one with Ali Michael for W two years ago) it's great, great, great. Camilla picked great pieces and Guinevere is working her poses like the rent is due...you know the rest

Can't wait to see Raquels and getting it IRL eventually, just hope US Vogue will be just as good too this month

I like the idea of Lara's editorial, but somehow it fell short on print...

I flip flop on Lara Stone and while I agree she is a good model, she is not likeable enough to inspire me to hoard her magazine covers but i do like her and Steven Klein's work here. I dont mind the Bardot reference, Claudia Schiffer did it to death in the 90s and got away with it.

amazing ed. by Guinevere and Sorrenti!!! i love the concept plus the outfits that were used are all great! i love the styling. love Guinevere's poses especially the second, second to the last, and the last shot.

can't really wait to see Raquel's!

Oh lord Jesus @ this post.....Using that Miss Jay lingo, I see....

But yes, Guinevere is looking fantastic in her ed, I love her piercing blue eyes and she definitely knows how to use her body(The Dolce looks banging on her) :woot:

I'm also excited for Raquel's ed, she works quite well with I&V's glamorized edgy asthetic with her etheral hair and her overly long face.

Lord knows that horse-face needs some of that 50-person airbrushing I&V photoshop team.:innocent:

That Sorrenti ed looks fantastic, judging by those few shots. One thing you just can't deny about Guinevere, she knows what she's doing.

The movement of her limbs against the roots and branches is just incredible.

I love that sorrenti ad! <3 This issue is one of the best IMO!

I really like Guinevere, but I'm tired of seeing her... The editorial is very good though.

I'm so happy to see a model in W's cover, even if its not one of my favourites, in this case. I think Lara looks really good in the cover, she looks really soft and sweet. The editorials are good also.

Lara looks so beautiful on that cover. It's stunning.

I like Raquel. I snapped this for those interested.

my snaps from august w magazine 2009

Wow its official, any feelings filled with hate towards Raquel i had in the past are gone, she totally sneaked up on me with recent work, i love her now.
