Aside from still not understanding the point of the "Who What etc" tagline, this cover is stunning. Simple and elegant, get rid of all the fonts and it would be perfection.

Me neither. I like Tilda Swinton's personal style and that's about it. She's quite overrated, IMO. One of those people that you call your favorite actress because it makes you seem cool.

Not saying she isn't a good actress or that there aren't people who actually like her for being a good actress. But it's like saying Radiohead is your favorite band. It immediately makes you sound cool and smarter than when you say your favorite actress is Megan Fox. Therefore a lot of people think she's cool because it makes them seem cool.

^ Well I love Tilda Swinton (and primarily for her acting talent) and absolutely detest Radiohead........so what does that say about me.
Anyhow unsurprisingly, this cover is very striking. This will stand-out a country mile on a newstand in a sea of same old, same old covers.
Thrilled that she is working with Walker and the editorial is amazing. Fantastic job all round.

It's beautiful .. it has the freshness and visual emotion I would get from W covers back in 2001-2002, when I'd buy it religiously. 90% of the credit goes to Tim Walker imo..

can anyone be surprise at how boring the cover is? Ever since the new EIC, the magazine has given one boring cover after the other. The only one I've seen with any kind of spice to it was last month with Beyonce but still shared that cover month with a boring X-tina cover. The magazine is just an epic fail overall now!
