W December 2010 : Katherine Heigl by Patrick Demarchelier

^ Couldn't agree more...Tonchi delivered at NYT Style with simple and slick editorial direction but he just can't handle a major publication it would seem.

It also seems that they are copying Interview's format of dedicating a short fashion editorial and accompanying interview to one designer. Ouch .

I know everyone's hating on the magazine's new direction, but I don't dislike it that much. The September issue had alot of wonderful content, I thought. Same for the October issue, which also had a gorgeous cover. I never bought November and this issue doesn't look like it's the greatest, but other magazines have sh!tty issues as well. I kind of like that it's moving towards Interview.

Damn that family circus ed is GORGEOUS! Beautiful enough to almost make me purchase the magazine, but frankly it's not worth it....

Family Circus ed is wonderful, the cast is great too!

The last shot of Britt in the Roversi editorial is absolutely breathtaking. Purely gorgeous.

Frida for a Roberto Cavalli feature? There's two people I would have never placed together, such a strange mix.

I can't stop admiring the Family Circus ed, it's exactly what I expect from a December issue, it's absolutely divine!

Holy mother of... I am not a fan of Lindsey at all but she looks so incredibly beautiful in that editorial. What a way to change someone's opinion. I know the photographer deserves a lot of the credit but still.

I'm tempted to ask the guy who works at the newsstand I go to to save me a copy of the magazine after he's ripped the cover off to send back to the publisher. I like the editorials, but I don't want to buy a magazine with that cover.

Huuuuuge kudos to White, Gustavsson and Demarchelier for making that whorish Cavalli collection look so fantabulous!!!!

Say what you want about the direction of W, the fashion eds they have done in recent months have, for the most part, been some of the better ones produced by the fashion industrial complex. If their "thing" is going to be celebrity and pop culture magazine with a little fashion thrown in, I don't have a problem with it as long as the celeb and pop culture stuff is interesting and fashion is awesome.
