Rooney's cover is the best for me. Her stare and that light, it's really amazing.

I love Brie's cover too. It could've fallen into vulgar territory but she remains chic while looking very sexy.

Love the styling on Carey's cover , that Prada collection photographs really well but she looks a bit dead.

Talking about looking dead, Alicia looks awful and so uncomfortable. It's crazy how a girl who always shines on screen can be so boring on print.

Saoirse looks very beautiful even though I don't understand why they styled a gorgeous and fresh 21-years-old young woman like a real housewife of Beverly Hills.

Eddie looks fantastic, he may have just one facial expression but at least he's owning it not like Carey or Alicia here. His eyes and bone structure are absolutely amazing.

Great line up. I love them all and they all gave tremendous performances but where's the diversity ? What about Michael B Jordan instead of Eddie who has had his fare shair of magazine coovers already ? Mya Taylor from Tangerine instead of Carey Mulligan or Alicia who just got a Vogue cover. I hope the full ed will at least be diverse.

Edit : Just saw the full ed. The picture are gorgeous, I'll always be a sucker for Lindbergh's black & white portraits but F*** them. No diversity at all. Why is Samuel L Jackson here ? Yes he was good in Kingsman but still. I'm glad to see Mya and I wish Benicio Del Toro would've gotten a cover but I'm still bothered.

And why does Bradley Coooper and his cabbage patch kid face always gets featured in this issue ?!?

The potraits are all pretty great. Paul Dano, Rooney, Peter Sarsgaard, Domhnall, Cate, Saoirse and Mya Taylor are my faves.

So white. Of course this isn't W's fault, but it sure does highlight this problem in film.

In what universe did Carey Mulligan have a break out year? She flopped big time. If anything, she had a breakout with An Education a few years ago.

Samuel Jackson is on the edit for Tarantino´s Hateful Eight but where´s Michael B. Jordan for Creed? the movie is getting so much praise... or Oscar Isaac even? W dropped the ball.
So many white people...

I agee that it's Hollywood's fault but if magazines would support new actors and not the same faces all the time maybe things could change. This year we've had Straight Outta Compton, Creed, Beasts Of No Nation, Concussion, Tangerine, DOPE, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac in The Force Awakens. And yet we get this.

It's not just a question of racial diversity, but also age. I actually would've loved to see Michael Caine get a cover instead of Eddie Redmayne, Jennifer Jason Leigh instead of Carey Mulligan.

The styling in the spread is very good though. Very effortless.

I'd forgotten that Samuel was in the new Tarantino thanks Kokobombon:flower:

Rooney's cover is my favourite and the portraits are really beautiful. Especially love Cate, Eddie and Mya's shots. The lack of diversity in film is really showing though..

Yeah, these people cannot hold a candle to Vanity Fair's Hollywood Portfolios. My most favourite one ever, the film noir take of 2011, featured an ensembled array of a young Abigail Breslin, Rinko Kikuchi, Kirsten Dunst, Jennifer Connelly, Jennifer Hudson, Helen Mirren, Penelope & Pedro......the most diverse take on Hollywood, ever! This year there were so many options. Why does Alicia Vikander get a second W cover within 9 months - not counting Vogue. Sick and tired of her, she's everywhere! And didnt Rooney recently booked Interview and Elle? The exclusivity just went out of the door for them. They also seem to be just about the only magazine pushing Brie Larson. It looks like W, as a fashion magazine, elected to showcase the 'fashion' starlets of Hollywood, note how every one of these actors have a strong fashion following. So this is not Hollywood's fault, it's W's fault.

Rooney got the best cover and the lighting effect saves it. But I've seen it executed better on Elle, so I'll get Saiorse, no matter how old she may look.

The covers are great, Rooney has the best of all of them. The editorial is pretty good, some amazing portraits, but other are kinda boring.

I don't care for the covers but Bel Powley's image in the editorial is stunning.

^ I just seen her movie the other day, she was magnificent, what a shame they keep using the same cover stars, she would be perfect for the cover over Carey or even Mara!

As for this being "White Movie" issue, spot on!!! Tonchi should be ashamed of himself!

This should be the Recycled Issue. My goodness, the cast consists of those previously featured by W! Jane, Alicia, Rooney, Brad, Jake +++

And don't get me started on how Depressing these all look. But my, does Eddie look gorgeous!

How Amy and Richard weren't given cover and Rooney & Brie did? Lol yup.

As beautiful as the pictures look, I wish it was Juegen Teller or Tim Walker again. Listen I love Lindbergh's work, but they're regular Lindbergh photos, and regular celebrity portrait pictures. What I loved about Juegen and Tim's issues is that they portrayed them in a different way, whether it was turning them into fantastic theatrical characters or in a raw, unglamorized photo. Or another photographer that could do something a bit more fresh and out of the box.

They really need to stop putting Carey on covers, just never works. Rooney and Saorise covers are pretty cool. And nothing exciting about Eddie's cover that we haven't seen on print or film before.

Thanks for sharing the covers, Avogrado!
