the cover is a no for me though. makes me feel claustrophobic and anxious.

No better time to read and daydream about faraway places and the trips you’ll take when you’re free to do so again! The cover addresses what’s going on in the world but is still thematically relevant to the contents of the issue they’d already put together. I don’t love it, but I think it works.

the cover is a no for me though. makes me feel claustrophobic and anxious.

Agreed, I find the image very morbid even without the crisis in mind. Similar to those empty buildings and desolate landscapes of Chernobyl. The cover just screams death to me.

It’s a somber cover for sure but I really appreciate it and think it strikes a perfect balance between the subject matter of the magazine and what’s going on in the world quite respectfully. It’s my favorite cover of all the fashion magazines we’ve seen actually.
