W Magazine March 2012 : Kate Moss by Steven Klein

Has anyone seen Good Kate on newstands? I've only seen Bad Kate, at least where I live.

I just bought this issue with the "Good Kate" cover.Tim Walker's ed is extremely stunning! Love the first two pics. Solve's ed is amazing too but I hope it can be longer. Overall, it is a wonderful issue.

I bought a copy too, with Good Kate on the cover, yesterday, and I have nothing but pure love for this entire issue. The eds cannot be more fantastic than this. The last issue of W I purchased was the September 2011, and it was the best W I ever had, but now it's been replaced. :p I'm so happy and satisfied and with the purchase of this issue. In fact I was a little hesitating because there were lots of mags I thought I had to buy, but I have absolutely zero regret now.
Kate's ed is surreal, epic and quite dramatic in real life, and the layout and Gothic font on the title page go with the ed perfectly. I'm saying this because I said there was too much going on in this ed so I felt tired watching it. It's not, in real life. Also S. Klein has become one of my favorite photographers.
M&M ed with MCB is ravishing and fascinating too. I also loved the flower-overload styling ed by Battaglia too. The only thing is, I wish each image was printed on the whole page.
Lara's ed by Sundsbo was so interesting and such a pleasure for eyes. The Sorrenti ed looked a bit similars to M&M style, but it's one I would buy a mag for, if there were just two or three eds including it in a mag. This issue is just too great for being real. From page to page it's just hard to flick over.
Bravo, the W team!

^I agree with everything you said Kanna. W's thin issues may lack in content, but their big fashion issues put to shame every other American fashion magazine (even Interview imo which isn't exactly a fashion magazine). My only complaint is that the paper quality has become even worse since last month. Tha paper now is thin as a leaf and I have to be extra careful not to tear a page and that kind of prevents me from fully enjoying all the great content the magazine has to offer.

^I agree with you! The paper used to be amazing but now its pretty bad and its strange because some random pages have great paper and another ones have awful paper!

I recall a lot of people complaining of W's former paper, which tore and yellowed easily and didn't scan well. You'll find W scans looking dry and dull. This month seems thinner but a bit slicker and shiny

^ W's quality paper was worse in the past? I hate the current one as well... It gets wrinkled and it's a shame, cause the inside of their fashion issues is amazing on every sense!

The quality of paper W uses has always been bad, indeed. It's vulnerable to humidity and easily gets yellowed taken little care of.. so I usually keep my copies in sealed plastic bags.

W's old paper did indeed get yellow but it was thicker and gave a more luxurious feel to the magazine. But maybe that's just me being nostalgic of the old W.

Kate delivers, as always. Stunning covers and editorial content. Can't wait to get hold of my copy (I may even have to buy it twice, for both covers, though that does seem a little unecessary).
