W Magazine May 2009 : Amy Adams by Craig McDean

I loved that Marc Jacobs collection but I feel like it's been used in every editorial since, y'know? Maybe because I just read the new Lula haha.

Gorgeous:crush: I love the cover even when I hate runway looks in mags :innocent: But I like the contrast of her super pale skin with the rich colors of Marc.

The cover is a boring and ugly photo, but what we´ve seen of the ed looks very nice. I love Amy, she´s a good actress and very charming; I want to see her play a bad girl.

Surprised she scored a W cover. Wasn't her Elle cover last year the lowest selling issue?
It did sell very poorly, however W always features the new promising starlets so i dont think they were to fussed over it.And honestly, although i find her boring in all aspects except when she plays someone else on screen, she is a deserving young talent that should be on covers.

I'm loving both the cover and the editorial within - somehow Amy pulls off the b/w ambiance very well, and the cover is simply striking. The whole thing very much resembles what I anticipate from a good celebrity feature from W :)

someone really needs to publish a "Young and Fresh US Celebrities" ....
I don't know her either ....

who is she ????????????????????

i like the editorial though not creative at all ....
the US 50s road 66 (or any other big no man's land road) bar ....

and the cover is nice ....

nothing striking though ...
i guess you need to know who this girl is to really enjoy this ....

^ She's an actress. You can view her film credits here... which include Junebug, Doubt, Enchanted... and more recently Sunshine Cleaning.

the cover looks great. i actually like it. and her ed. too! she's wearing marc jacobs s/s 09 right? and i wonder why her name is placed at the upper right corner instead at the bottom in a bigger font? :)

^ I agree. I think the layout this month is interesting in that usually they have the name of the cover star in the center of the picture.

It's also interesting to me how under the radar Amy is. I'm surprised she isn't more known. She's been nominated for an Oscar twice already, someone of her talent should be everywhere yet you don't hear much about her really.

Great cover and the ed looks good as well.

Who needs US Vogue May when you have this?

I think that's a good thing actually. She's staring in great movies and gets recognition for her roles, but isn't caught up in the whole celeb machinery.

She's not that captivating to me, but I have no reason to really dislike this. She's a great actress, and I think one deserving of a celebrity profile in W.
I really like the cover shot as well - W is doing good this year

none of those movies talk to me ...

sorry ...

* i think i'm just lost in another world this year *

I agree & I like her even more because of it.

the reason why I don't like the cover is that it tells me nothing about an actress. like when during rehearsal breaks young actresses go outside the theater for a coffee in their stage costumes or they just to go out to be seen by the locals, the hair and make-up done and all that, and they are a bit dishevelled maybe, and definitely not as tense as a fashion model would be, not frozen in a moment, but being alive, being vivid. when I think of an actress what I see is a nice kind of looseness, not vulgar, but just playful... you can see that even in their poses. it's not meant to be perfect, and it never really is.. the ed is somewhat better, that's more like someone I'd like to see on stage or film... loving the black and white :)

Love the cover, the styling I thought was quite daring for Amy,
she usually is quite stereotyped in photoshoots ^_^

Oh no, I agree that it is a good thing. It's just that I would think that someone with her talent would be more known in a way. Or is at the very least in my mind, very deserving of being known as opposed to some of the no-talents who are household names. I love that she keeps her private life private. She's just one of those actors I think everyone should know / watch so its surprising when I hear that people don't know her.
