Incredible! Oh, how I hope he also photographed a full fashion story for this issue. All the celebrity portraits here are absolutely perfect!

So far, Lana cover still the good ones. The Zoe and Jennifer cover ones didn't work for me. And their editorial are so bland. September last year seems better than this year.

Picked up my issue yesterday and this is definitely a fashion magazines collector piece imo.

- additionally there’s ANOTHER Steven Meisel story featuring 2 fresh face models over 10+ pages worth of content.

- Jamie Hawkesworth also has a fashion story that follows after Meisel’s that goes on 4-6 pages.

- David Sims is the last fashion story with 8-10 pages of his work.

- Other editorials as well by newcomer photographers and also a really solid feature about Michael Rider’s Celine Resort 2026 collection.

Finally! He just excels with models so much more. This is cover worthy, it’s a fashion issue it should be pages of FASHION not random celebs looking awkward in 4 pictures. The retouching is still a bit much but I’ll take it.

Signe's face is the most fabulous and unique I have seen, maybe since Gustav Swedberg mirroring Vanessa Axente. Again, the editorial is Franca's VI material. I love Mikey, but this would have been the return to form for VI's September issue. I can't relate this amazing ed with W magazine filled with celebs or the "models" of the moment. The wrong magazine for such a beauty. I can't wait to see that face covering Vogue.

So in front of us we have...
a) a proper fashion editorial styled by Templer (fairly uncommon these days)
b) a fashion editorial by Templer and Meisel
c) an editorial by Templer and Meisel that features some Sacai

Hell yes. Count me bloody well in . I could've done with a location shoot or at least some kind of set design as a backdrop here but I'll take it. Love the slightly raw, Nordic feeling of the pictures and I feel like there's a nod to some of Meisel's mens fashion stories. Or a little "Venus In Furs", minus nudity and with proper clothes ?

At any rate I don't think Meisel's editorial work will be common place from this point on, so we should enjoy it when we get it. Even if it's not his best work. He's understandably all about that advertising money, which makes me appreciate seeing the above even more.

And we've still got Jamie, David, Grace and Joe to look forward to. Touché (this time) Sara.

She's a Mika's girl. She walked Hodakova, Emilia Wickstead, Keburia, SRVC and Dilara Findikoglu during fw25

Signe has NEVER looked this good! I usually find her very unappealing, but wow! What a transformation!

I am sick of his blank studio eds, but it's good, especially the b&w images. Signe is great, she reminds me a bit of Penelope Tree.

Meisel knows how to elevate a model but the retouching is peak comedy

He's aware of it, but it's run by his studio.

Templer's styling is really the star of that ed, just excellent! Nothing we haven't seen before from Meisel, but it'll be dynamic in print and the styling, along with Jacqui and Signe elevate the whole thing.
