I must admit I'm generally fond of this ... used to wear a chained wallet a few years ago ... went well with my general style. and having that swinging chain of metal on one's hip can make a girl feel sexy, strangely enough.
if you like that sort of thing ;)

I just might consider doing this again. perhaps making my own chain so it looks a bit more interesting.

:flower:

The look was very cool a few years ago, everbody and their mother had one on.Now you don't see it so much.I started wearing mine again, add some keychains to it looks new again.

Anyone has an idea on where it is possible to get wallet chains?

I am heading for a search for those chains on Saturday...... :shifty:

These pictures makes me like it. But in general, it reminds me of 10 years ago.. all the little kids with JNCO jeans and industrial strenth chains running from wallet to belt loop

It was 10 years ago wasn't it? They banned them from my high school because some kids *cough* put bigger chains on them and would use them in fights. I'll be damned if they're cool again. I ust admit I think I have a pair of old JNCO's laying around from my raver days:ninja: .

I am buying this chain this afternoon.. They look really sleek on an all black outfit (esp with skinny leg denim!) :

18.50$!!

Seems a bit expensive, did you check out Labyrinthe on St-Catherine (next to Futureshop downtown)? Maybe they would have one cheaper...

^ Good lord we have someone from Mtl on tFS ! :woot:

Thanks for the tip Drexl, I'll check it out tomorrow! What kind of shop is that by the way?

It's mostly a band t-shirt store (alot of metal and punk), but they also sell band posters, some cheesy Hot Topic-esque shirts and hoodies (like "Satan Inside" or pentagram t-shirts and the like), band pins and badges, jewelry and...drug paraphernalia. It's 2 doors to the right of Futureshop, stairway leading down and usually there's metal or punk music blasting.

^ Thanks for the info sweetie! I am RUNNING to that store as soon as I have time!!! :woot:

Hi,
This is my first post on this board.

Rio and X20 are other punkish stores on Saint-Denis you might want to check out. These stores also have a big selection of shoes like Converse all-stars. They are one in front of another on Saint-Denis, above Sherbrooke if my memory serves me well, not too far from ITHG, again if my memery serves me well. It's late.

^ I know those stores, but the only problem is their merchandise is totally overpriced.....

did you got the wallet chain kimkhuu?
looks great, i wouldnt mind one myself..

as for the trend, its quite popular over here,
chains dragging low mainly on roomy low rise trousers
or shorter , more 'refined' ones worn with menstyle trousers

Lena, I bought the one I posted in the picture above from X20.... It looks very different from the pic..... much more clean silver and the rings are much smaller and sleeker in person.....

I like it a lot...... The only problem was the chain was quite long....... So I put a pin inside my pocket to attach it to the right lenght..... And it's real tricky..... I don't even put a wallet with it.... It's just a faux wallet chain..... if I can call it that way....

I wear them with pitch black raw denim.......

i prefer them long myself kimkhuu, wear it with pride, seems FAB

I like them actually...I think it's a fun & funky way to accessorize an outfit...My personaly fave, which I wear religiously, is from Shaune Leanes Hook My Heart collection (http://www.shaunleane.com/shaun-leane.html#home2)... The hook on it is soooo sharp, you can actually puncture skin tissue with it...
