Thanxs

i think moisturizing is very very important and should start at a young age. i started when i was 10! my mother moisturizes her skin single everyday & and it helps her looking young.

Om gonna have to start today=)
What mopsiturizer would you recommend??

Thanxs

the time to start is yesterday! all jokes aside, I also think mositurizing is vital for proper skincare, and can do wonders with evening out skintone and what-not. There are so many products out there now that are gentle for young skin - I personally use biotherm aquasource nonstop - it comes in 2 formulas, for dry skin and then for normal/combination skin. Its very light and just makes your skin feel radiant. Just go to a sales associate and let them see your skin, tell them what issues you have if any (dry, flaky, oily, greasy, lots of pimples, the occasional pimple) and they can surely find something within any price range

Thank you soo much guys=)I never knew that beautiful skin comes from just using moisturizer

:D i wouldnt say just from proper moisturizer...its also important to put good stuff into your body (proper nutrition, lots of water) and get sleep and exercise, but moisturizing is definitely a great step to take in addition

IMO, one should start moisturizing when they hit puberty...I don't have scientific evidence to back it up, but I think that once you hit puberty your skin starts doing crazy stuff and it's a good time to pick up a skin-care routine.

It makes sense to me that one should cleanse/moisturize in the morning and at night. And after you exercise ;)

I started when I was 16.............with a good skincare routine.

Alot of people think...........I'm young, I just need to worry about acne/pimples and skip moistuirizer.

Don't wait to use a moisturizer to "recover"..............you should use one to "prevent"

When people guess my age..........they are usually about 3-5 years younger than I actually am. I thank my early attempts at skincare.

i have read somewhere in an interview with a make up artist that u should moistuise at least from the age of 15, but someone told me it was 13 so im not sure. i started moisturising when i was 11 once a day, but i moisturise twice a day now. i would also recommend using a richer moisturiser at night.

It is advised to begin moisturizing after 25.

Umm.. don't you mean anti-age creams?

Because moisturizing only after 25... it would be quite late to me (and many others here) as i know my skin... i would have peeling skin already if i don't use any moisturizer...

Especially if you've ever tanned, been sunburned^

I think starting to moisturize at/after 25 is probably a bit late............considering what most of us do to our skin in our teen years.

i agree....though this brings up a question Ive always wondered...when should you start the anti-aing anti-wrinkle creams??

^ I dunno.....18?

Is 18 when you stop hormonal changes and start 'aging'?

Oh well...either way I'm 20 and I'm all about anti-aging

Kids in general don't need to moisturize, I agree that once you hit puberty is when you should start taking care of your skin in a "serious" way.

The best way to keep skin young is to eat healthy, drink a lot of water, exercise regularly, always use sunscreen. At the sime time: don't be paranoid about tanning. If you don't overdo it, the damage isn't all that great.

Anti-aging treatments could be used at any age I suppose, but around 25 is usually recommended as a starting age.

I am a big believer in moisturizing. Once you make it part of your faily routine, it becomes automatic adn you just do it. I have done it on my face and body since I was 13. Every person who has ever touched my skin cannot get over how soft it is, and I truly believe it is from moisturizing.

There is already a thread about this as i remember. :flower:

I believe moisturizing is an essential after late 20s. But, as for the ages under 25 or so, it really depends on skin type. For most teens, it's a necessity to find a good cream that works against pimples. No matter what you're skin type (oily, dry, medium) moisturize helps to maintain managibility and consistency, especially when wearing makeup.

Pick a good moisturizer and applying it once to twice a day should be fine. :)

^ I think it does, but different moisturizer. I use Vichy Normaderm on T-zone.
