I do believe you understood I liked the book? I was just saying that the story's not applicable only to the people at that specific time and place the author refers too, but to anyone everywhere else with the same dreams and hopes and frustrations.

The In-Between World of Vikram Lall, by M.G. Vassanji.
It's for class, but I am enjoying it for itself too.

an autograph, ma cherie?

I have several autographed books - Ray Bradbury, Hunter Thompson, Kurt Vonnegut and Chuck Pahlaniuk.

I'm reading Henry V for school.

me too... I just started reading the book today. I don't feel like reading it at all because the teacher gave out so much of the story... which of course ruins it all...

I read "A streetcar named desire" yesterday. It's so fabulous and tragic. It makes us see how the beauty and the poetry of life can be destroyed by the most primitive needs of a man.

Are you taking a course on American 20th century plays? Did you see the film with Brando? It's good.

Did you know that we have an interior design thread on tFS? BTW, check out Frame magazine - it's a good source for architecture and interior design.
