I think Hermes bags are too expensive, inaccessible, and limited to ever take off and be considered mainstream popular.

Btw, to Paddington bag fans - the bags will come in 3 sizes and the bag they show in the pictures is the medium sized one (14 inches wide). Colors are dark brown, tan and black.

Yes I think the Chloe bags will take off next year in a big way ESPECIALLY the run way bags like the Paddington ..though I don't actually like it as much as that black boxy one 4th in the row of pics I posted before. It's just gorgeous !!

God I hope not!!!! I was pretty happy when it was "my little secret", so that I wouldn't bump into anyone with the same bag! I want it to maintain its obscurity somewhat... it adds to the "special-ness" of the bag.

I think the Chloe bags are made in such limited amounts, very difficult to obtain (very few places carry them), and relatively more expensive that I don't think it will reach the same level of popularity and frenzy as the Balenciagas. For each season, most of the bags don't even reach the floor, because those "fashionistas in the know" and loyal Chloe customers for years have already snatched it up on their wait-lists. Also, the detail is just way too intricate (esp. the bracelet bags) for it ever to start being copied, so it won't reach the mass population to that extent.

^^^ Yes, approximately the same. The large Paddington is about 19 inches and won't be sold in some stores. I guess the large size is more of a travel bag. I didnt get the specs for the small size because I don't like small bags anyway.

as for the chloe paddington, do you guys think it's worth getting? will it really get that big? i like that huge padlock, but then again i suppose you could put a huge padlock on anyhthing

i think if you really love the bag, regardless of whether it's going to be "big" or the next "it" bag, you should just get it, just cuz you love it.

in my opinion, this paddington bag is really beautiful, kind of a basic everyday bag, but full of extra funky details that make chloe bags so special. i think the padlock is very cute. the color is so rich... it kinda reminds me of some of their bags from last season (the padlock satchel), but less structured...

When I put my name on the list for the Paddington, the rep in the Chloe Botique said to expect it in March. (There were about 20 names on the list and the rep said that they ordered quite a few bags, since they expected them to be in demand, and didn't want to run short as they did with the Silverado.)

Anyone thats seen the Paddington bag in real life, is the padlock there to actually lock the bag or just on the side as detail?? I cant tell by the pics.

I'm guessing that since there's a key in a clochette, that the lock works, but I've only seen pics as well... Has anyone seen an actual Paddington yet?
