What Is The Most Beautiful Word?

Amaranthine - undying, eternal, never fading.

Learned it after finding out about Enya's newest album "Amarantine."

I love the words "my baby" whether you are talking about your actual child or as a term of endearment for your husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/wife.

I also love Mommy.

Chanel.

Hahah just kidding.

Uhm... Right now, I think my choice would be "lush"

But there are sooo many beautiful words!!

Interesting thread! The most beautiful word would be SALE! Just kidding, but it's an exciting word, you've got to admit. Most beautiful word, hmmm, I'll have to think about it, and after this I'll probably think of the most beautiful words. Here are some of the ones I can think of right now:
Beauty (how do you spell that.. like onamotapia, where a word describes with its sound what it is... I think beauty is one of those)
effervesence
riverfall
lillian (even though it's a name, I think as a word it has a soothing quality to it)
liturature

i love the words:
-enchanting
-chandellier
-vanilla
-cherry blossoms

"Adore"....and I love it when someone says "New York". Yes, I know...weird, but I guess its because I'm in love with that place.

A lot of the words I like sound like what they mean.

Pretty sounding words :P:
arabesque
obsidian
painterly
meandering
mellifluous
verdurous
murmur
languid

Crisp, evocative Old English words:
crackle
crusty
shard
gnarl
gut
knoll
glimpse
mangle
beastly
dwindle
grim

Random:
slither
slink
eleven (I always imagine the number as shiny and silver)
purple
gargoyle
dystopia
vivid
plaintive
robust
parched
opaque
tortuous
tinge
serpentine

I also tend to like a lot of the vocabulary Nabokov uses in his writing. :flower:
